Am I gonna get laid off from PayTM?

I work at Paytm and rumours are that 35 percent of workforce is going to be fired by may end. I'm definitely in the bottom 35 percent of my team as I'm in a new team and still learning the product. Even my team lead is saying that he will be fired. Now I'm confused, whether to work more or just completely stop caring about work. I need a change. Can anyone provide leads for a backend engineer who works primarily on MERN stack and familiar with Java Springboot stack. I'm hard working and good at Leetcode style algorithmic questions

Heard that Paytm is planning to layoff 10% of entire work force. Across all levels. Heard cases that folks who were hired at market premium less than 30 days ago are now being asked to leave the organisation. And the layoffs will be hidden under the guise of mid year appraisals. #PaytmKaro

1. some people are pressured into resigning under the guise of poor performance, despite years of dedication. 2. sudden demand for employees to work from the office on specific days, hinting at wanting people to quit on their own. 3. layoff happening as reported by media (and internal group on grapevine), still unclear on how deep the cut will be can be from 20% or above; numbers are speculative, lets wait and watch, many have started getting the calls from HR; shabbily handled. 4. let's not talk about increments 🤡 🤞🏻 lets see what happens today and in the next few weeks; hope things become better

Hi Guys, The management at Paytm has informed around 30-40 % will be laid off in May end. I will be affected by Paytm layoffs as list is being prepared. Any referrals/leads for backend software Engineer(tech stack Scala,Kafka,SQL,AWS ) would be helpful as I had joined Paytm as fresher last year.Total experience will be 1 year in June.

Paytm folks here - Is this true?

There are news that massive layoffs are coming in Paytm. HR and Business Heads have been given targets - average 30% reduction expected across all teams. #bravenewworld

PAYTM Payments Bank essentially asked to shut shop. Afaik here are the few implications 1. Stock market will react in a bad way to them 2. Worst affected are going to be FasTag users who bought from PayTM. 3. No deposits / credits allowed in any account. Withdrawal is allowed. 4. UPI not allowed after Feb

Given what RBI has gone today is effectively shut down 60-70% of Paytm’s business, to survive, Paytm will end up doing mass layoffs of a scale that we haven’t seen before in India. And potentially with limited severance (not as generous as what swiggy or Big tech has been doing) What would this mean for the rest of job market? So much unemployment in high earning folks, limited new jobs, means very tough competition for each opening and extremely bad situation in terms of appraisals and hikes too.
