12 years in business development with a CTC of 19lakhs pm. I was a Senior Manager in my previous company and I was told that EY doesn’t hire Manager and above externally and hence had to settle with a Sr. Con. 

Is this a fact or just a trick to get candidates settle to the lowest.

My next appraisal cycle is in March but obviously due to the economic conditions my company might not give me a great raise even though my performance has been good this year.
