Don't do stuff that doesn't make you happy.   
    
 The problem is I don't know what makes me happy. Not to mention what makes you happy changes as you grow older.

So true man. And because of that, point 1 doesn't make sense. I mean, shouldn't we explore different stuff and figure out what makes us happy?

 And how does one pick the right thing to do? If I don't explore different things(dress rehearsal), how am I supposed to know what makes me happy?

I think it means you might think the time goes slow but it passes too quickly for you to realise. So make it count ;)
