- Amazon is contemplating moving its Amazon Pay service into a standalone app in India to boost its usage, according to sources familiar with the matter.
- Currently integrated within Amazon's main e-commerce app, Amazon Pay offers services like money transfers, bill payments, insurance purchases, and more.
- The company has been considering this move for about a year and has reached out to the NPCI for approval, sources said.
- Some Amazon executives believe a dedicated app could help Amazon Pay gain more recognition, as it currently doesn't get enough attention within the e-commerce app.
- Despite the plans, Amazon may still alter or abandon the idea, as the company faces various challenges in India. An Amazon spokesperson declined to comment on the speculation.

Walmart owns majority share in both PhonePe and Flipkart, PhonePe is a separate entity from Flipkart, but why is Flipkart itself entering into UPI ecosystem when it is dominant in e-commerce and PhonePe is dominant in UPI and payments.

Why is Walmart letting both organisations go against one another by building Flipkart UPI seems weird and waste by burning money.

Is it hoping Flipkart UPI to get market share from Amazon Pay or something else is at play here ?

Why not pitch PhonePe inside Flipkart app heavily instead ?

Noticed that this phenomenon is just much more in other countries. Maybe cuz UPI is already so. convenient in India that a slightly smoother experience wasn't needed. But with most people wanting to use credit cards, these are the next 2 most important needs:

1) OTP less payments
2) Contact less payments via devices.

Few apps delisted are names such as Shaadi.com, OTT platform STAGE, social media app FRND. 
This might be temporary and these companies would get it live again, but is shd make us think the monopoly Google and apple has made in their respective ecosystem, Need of open and transparent third option , Google has a very high commission on transaction made via Play Store, Spotify had this issue earlier as well

Was reading a thread where people were saying don't be in shock if Ambani/Reliance starts making move after RBI's action on Paytm. I initially thought it to be a meme. Now I am just curious. 

Is the system really fair to allow such moves by the rivals after penalising them?
Or is the system that rigged to make sure their friends can get all the business to technically get the favors, funds, etc? 
Any thoughts on this? 
Whether is it too cruel and unfair that system just can't come into action to stop such moves otherwise how the startups anyway could rival the innovation that happens in the West if our own system anyway is there to cripple in such scenarios or do you think it's all fair in the name of business (you donot follow regulations, you will have to suffer eventually)?
