Hello. I've been facing Saturday blues over the past few weekends as I feel I've too much time left still after chilling for a considerable amount of time, attending a language class and doing my household chores. So, just reaching out to the community asking in case if you need a hand with any of the projects that you're building, I'll be glad to help in some way within my ability.

Few months back, I was facing a personal problem of having a stuffed bookshelf. I was not able to read more, readon being I was not having space to keep the new books that I was planning to add. 

My girlfriend suggested why not, share it with your friends? But as evident in past, the books I shared with my friend never came back to me. 

This piqued my interest, that in India, not everyone have large house to dedicate a room for books. What do they do? 
I started talking to people, and the conclusion was they stopped reading. Few of them moved to Kindle, few moved to Audiobook, but are still wishing if they can read paperbacks! 

The problem was big enough to be solved. I started designing the solution and here we have BookR, a peer to peer book sharing app. 


At BookR, we leverage decentralised inventory model that enable the book owners to share their books with other without losing the ownership of book, at the same time getting rid of the stuffed bookshelf that give them space to add more! 

Readers can go ahead and order the book they wish to read, and BookR will facilitate the pickup of book from owner and drop it to the reader, without compromising on anybody’s privacy. 

We have subscription plan based on the number of books that users can read in a month, and this subscription plan pays for the logistics and maintenance of the book

Readers can now own the book without buying it, at the same time owners can now share the book without losing ownership. Isn’t it amazing?

I am an avid reader. I read mostly non fiction.

I am 2x founder working on the next problem that I am looking to solve. 

My hypothesis is that we are seeing a strong decline in number of people who read books. There are various readons behind it. I am listing them one by one 
1. Stuffed Bookshelf: Lot of people who loved to read buy a book, but end up stuffing them in bookshelf. Once the bookshelf is fully stuffed they are not anle to buy more, hence they stop reading. 

2. Sharing of book leads to losing ownership: For many people who have lot of books, when share their books with friends/family/colleagues the chances of them getting the book back is tends to 0

3. Experience across reading is broken: when reading from paperback, they are not able to make notes, highlight paras and reloook at them later woth context, not able to track bookmarks etc

4. Because of discontinuity across all the medium of book reading user shift from one medium to another, but is not able to stick to one medium for long. 

I would love to hear thoughts from people of community and understand why are you not reading books? What according to you is challenge ?

Last two months had been great, I was consistently building a morning routine. Included little fitness too.
Happy how my body felt energetic.
Until one day, "I didn’t feel like getting up"
Two weeks, Schedule is back to groggy mornings, skipped breakfast, put on visible fat

Work has got shittier.
My day starts with 2 hours of compulsory, back-to-back meetings, followed by more 1-O-1s through the day. 
The meetings are just crying how things are bad, not working out, employees are not putting efforts, revenue is down, sales is not performing, clients are leaving - 3 hours later, we still haven't got a action plan. What's the use?

This wasn’t meant to be a rant. 
Just that cannot tell people to fuck off.
I feel should tell a part of me to fuck off too.

How do you overcome low days? (Indian parents term for being "lazy")

I have been trying to get back to gaining control of my life. 
At least the things I can control. 
But maybe cuz of procrastination, I am not able to start it? 
I have been an accountability partner for a friend and I know how I somehow was able to nudge them to stop their addictions. Ok, Stop might be a strong word but at least drastically decreased the intensity of it. 
So started wondering maybe that’s something I need for myself at this point? 
And I know I am mildly competitive too. 
So if you have been thinking of something like that, maybe we can do it together?
