Depends upon how much experience you have now, usually if its just date issue, no one will bother as long as entity and exp matches with lil variation in date…. Offcourse years mismatch gonna cost you..

Experience is around 3 years, yeah it is just overlap of 1 month in PF service history, I have all genuine relieving letters and experience letter of companies I have worked with

Need some help with Background verification in a MNC.

In my past experience:

- I got laid off on May 2020
- in July 2020 I got a job, did not like it and left early by Sept 2020 
- I joined a new company on Oct 2020 

In my resume , I have skipped this experience and mentioned other dates correctly. I didn't think it would be relevant!

1. Experience  A - Till May 2020
2. Experience C - from Oct 2020 - ..

1. Would this be a problem for background verification?
2. Should I inform the HR about this ?

In my BGV process it was found that I was a junior DS in one of the previous orgs. In my resume I mentioned it as just DS, without the 'junior'.
The HR has informed this has come up as a red flag from the BGV company.

This is weird. Has this ever happened to anyone and will this lead to termination? If yes, do they also ask to pay back the salaries? I have already worked for 3 months here.

Asking for an HR perspective to help with this one.
I didn't mention a short stint( around 2 months) in my resume which I did almost 3 years back and I've gotten offer letter from another company. Should I disclose this in my background verification form or just continue not to list it. Its one thing to not include it in resume, not so sure about BGV form. The good part is the short stint didn't deposit PF so it does not reflect on my UAN number. Also the company is no longer in existence.

I had a short stint in a firm like < 3 months... so If I don't show this experience in my resume will it come later in background verification? 
The thing here is there's this small Joining bonus associated with this and if the candidate doesn't show this experience, he doesn't have to do pay it back in fnf recovery but got to trade off experience and relieving letter which doesn't matter in this case as the experience is quite short here. 

so folks any experiences or views around this?

Want to know the bgv documents required for Walmart hiring of SDE 3. Do they check the pf records of only current company or all the previous companies?

I did not get any relieving letter or certificate from an internship which I did few months back , they had given me full time offer but I already have an offer from another company which I got during campus placements .so I did not joined that startup. Does it effect my bgv in new company joining as a fresher ? Or for freshers do they check internships and bgv like that ? Pls help.😶

So I was laid off a couple of months back and the organization was forcing me to resign. I countered their basis of decision and was able to get my severance instead of notice. Further, they were asking me to serve a reduced notice but I opposed saying this is a layoff/termination from organization’s side and was out in a week. As a result they have deliberately put things like “his performance was average” in the experience letter. 

Can someone help me with how to deal with this situation for prospective employers? 

P.S: I do not want to go the legal route with my prev org and want to focus on the next prospects so if any HR in the network can help with some advice, that would be great.

In my post, I mentioned that my relieving letter states the date as "Dec," as verbally communicated by my ex-employer. However, today when I requested the letter from HR, they went back on their words and they indicated it would show October to align with their records for audits which would otherwise create a discrepancy since my final settlement was in October.

Now, my resume states my experience until December, prompting questions during interviews about why I left in December. 
However, for background verification form that i had to urgently submit today, I listed my last working date as October because supporting docs will mention october only and i was out of time & options. 

1. Will this two-month discrepancy on my resume cause significant issues? Are the dates in resume and BGV form matched? If not, whats given more preference?

2. How do I explain the advance payment reflected in my payslip? If the new org comes to label it as severance pay, I lack evidence to prove otherwise, especially since my resignation was verbal.

3. Will my new manager come to know of the disparity between my resume and BGV data?

4. ⁠I need to provide last 3 months payslips and i told new HR I'm seeking payslips for November and December. Now, My ex-employer can't provide them as well since payment was earlier. How do I cover up and offer payslips to HR for Aug-Sep-Oct instead? How do I explain the Oct payslip discrepancy mentioned in point 3?

I have been working in company for 10+ years and now moving to different project now and they are doing fresh BGC, I don’t know why as It was already done when i joined it. I want to understand, how these third party vendors who does BGC, check our criminal records? I have one case for family dispute, which is pending since 2016, there is nothing proven against me and court is just giving dates. What should I do? Should I mention this in BGC ?

I am currently working at a startup and was previously working at an IT MNC for 3 months. I was put on the bench and laptops/assets were not even delivered for 2 months of requesting. When the assets arrived there was 3 weeks of compliance and regulatory training before which my position was eliminated as a result of business restructuring and downsizing. I got my startup offer (strategy type role)by then and I resigned from the IT firm with proper reliving letter and fnf settlement. I have now got an offer from a boutique consulting firm(after working in my startup for around 6 months) . I have however not mentioned this IT mnc in my resume at all since I did not gain any kind of work experience at this firm and it was not adding any value to my resume in terms of the types of roles I am looking for, I wanted to keep my other internships and startup tenure as they were more valuable. Is this going to cause an issue if I undergo a bgv process in my new firm? I have all the proper exit documents and there is no overlap of employment anywhere. Please advise. I am a 2022 pass out.

I wanted to know that if you are put on PIP, which basically means you are about to be fired and you resign from your position before PIP ends, does it show up during background verification that this guy was put on PIP in oyr company.

Also how strict is this background verification, does the third party verification also enquire about your performance in the previous company?

If one has some (2-3 days) overlap in leaving last company and joining of current company thereby making it a case of dual employment... Will it be a problem?
