Avoid Bangalorean startups with Mallu dominance
not only I have experienced this personally, but i have heard these from a few other people as well Mallus tend to do groupism. No matter what function it is they take control in that group, hence they become difficult to work with. They are hesitant to change, you won't feel like you are part of decision making. So avoid it if you can. PS: Offence Intended
That's just dumb on your part. There's groupism everywhere, just like office politics is everywhere. Learn to speak up for yourself and not be swayed by something as simple as common ethnic groups.
You are either part of the problem or don’t see the problem yet.
I don't see the problem because it's not a problem. There's regional groupism everywhere you go. Work in Delhi as a south Indian and you'll feel marginalized even for the smallest comments. Dealing with grouping behavior is just part of your skill set as a professional. So just get on with it. 🤷

As a North Indian, I have worked in a team of Mallus once. And I enjoyed it a lot. Don't know if there was actually any groupism. But we all had each other to rescue if any one of us were stuck with something. That was one of the best teams I have worked with.

That's the foremost reason I never been into favour with my board members for taking operations from any south indian region.
I agree few people are very nice but most of them are so much racist.
As I listen many good news relating to racisims and harshment.

This cannot be generalized. In the previous company, my entire team was from Hyderabad. I was alone from Delhi, yes there were times when they spoke in their language on calls, but I used to mention that I don't understand the language, kindly Converse in English, and they used to switch.
So maybe, you can also try the same.
And still if they don't, you can always reach your management with such issues.
