Bangalore startups are useless

I have a friend who is a sde and worked with multiple startups and has a strange issue She graduated in 2020 joined a us based remote startup at 7lpa Mykia which then got shut down due to no funds to operate after 7 months of her work, She then joined a startup in Bangalore which is a VR, AR company and everything was fine and in 2022 they shut down saying cannot afford operation and joined other seed agency where she worked as backend dev and after a year she left due to health issues and now she interviewed with WITCH companies but she doesn't have exp letter of first 2 companies and she submitted her agency letter and they had given her 4lpa as 1 year exp person , Posting on behalf of her what can be done better for good package

Two Bangalore startups hired indiscriminately and then fired a bunch of people. As luck would have it I was in both of them. A particular healthcare startup around HSR is run by a bunch of clowns who has no idea how growth works and wants you to pull miracles out of your ass. Stick to your cushy corporate jobs and save as much money as you can.

She now works at IBM as application development with a good package, and last week she got collapsed as it was running out of funds and in few months she joined an other startup in Bangalore which is fin tech which was bankrupt as the founders ran with the vc money and she joined after a year she joined a mid cap startup with 2 years of experience and she was treated as fresher due to her previous companies not able to give her BGV and she had to start from scratch and now she works in IBM as application dev with good package and last week she got married too When i asked her for advice she told as Bangalore startups are just an other piece of shit cloning ola and uber and waste VC money just telling people who work at a startup. to shift to better roles asap seeing the economy

What are some of the good startups in Bangalore - HSR - Koramangala - Indiranagar?

I don’t think I can do even one week more of job search. Bangalore Startup’s have lost it - I am being offered 4-6L peanut salary because I am fresher and need a lot of training but the assignments I get for the process are full on product launch-GTM case studies. I mean WTF It was better if I was looking for a sales role 4L salary and seedha normal sales interview. I don’t think how they think that I can make their GTM in under 2 days and at the same time need a lot of training.

Given the current situations in the market and everyone focusing on cancelling the appraisals or laying off or worst doing silent layoffs. What good options are left for people to join that ensures a good balance of Compensation, Culture and good future outlook. Mention genuine suggestions only and NO rant on your current organisation please. Want to understand market landscape and would be good knowledge to have right now.

Hi All, I think with funding winter, the work culture in Bangalore Startups is becoming toxic day by day. In my company, it started with filling the daily time sheet of what work we did, then why do we need work from home( Company gives 4wfh/month), then a circular came today that every data filled in timesheet will be minutely checked with card punches, can't be late even for 5 minutes more than 3 times a month. The hypocrisy part is employees are underpaid(5-6 LPA for software developer) and overworked(9+ hrs/day). I got to know one more startup where they have normalised 12hrs/day 6 days a week working and if you work less, it will affect negatively. They force their employees to reside nearby to the office so they can work till 12-2am from 10.30am. Is it common everywhere?
