How much I can ask for TCS for 4 yrs experience in React.js?

I joined TCS 3yrs ago and since then I couldn't switch. I am planning since last year March but actually not able to work on it. Even I couldn't apply actively. Currently I am involved in a role which has nothing to do with development and I feel bit less confident. So I want to know why it is so hard to leave? Does everyone feel same? Is this ecosystem somewhat responsible for this?

Do not join TCS at the early stage of life with a low salary with expectations that it will grow after a year or two. Promotions are very slow. Also promotions do not depend on your performance, even if you perform outstanding you might end up getting a 2% hike. Not worth it right. Promotions totally depend upon your behavior with your TL and manager. Even if the person does not work but does the chamchagiri of them it works. Once the project you are working in RAMPS Down the RMG people helps to ruin your life after that. RMG in Tcs needs proper training to allocate the manpower to proper process. I am passing out this year , I have a tcs offer(3.36 LPA) , whether I should join this or by looking at market conditions should I prepare for government exams( I am really tired by applying and not getting a response).

I am in Bangalore and have all my good circle here and it's also close to my hometown. And in Gurgaon, i know no one. Please advise me which offer do i choose. I am from Telangana, Hyderabad.

Working at TCS has been nothing short of a disappointment. The so-called "job security" they boast about is the only thing going for them. Job security alone doesn't pay the bills or bring job satisfaction. My pay package is so laughable + there is no room for career growth here. It is almost like they want you to stagnate, my managers know so little that I can only think that the smart people leave and only the mediocre remain at TCS. TCS is a place where dreams go to die. I joined through TCS Ninja ~2 years ago because Amazon revoked my offer and that was my biggest mistake. I am preparing for FAANG again now.

Hey Folks, I hope you all are doing extremely well. Wanna get some idea about market pay and the hike I’m getting in a e-commerce company. Worked as a DevOps/Software Engineer for 5 yrs and CCTC is around 30-32 LPA. New company is ready to offer around 42. Is it good offer or should I check for more companies? I know some startup’s are paying like anything and this offer seems to be trivial for 5 yrs experience, but just wanted to know if I should be pursuing this offer or not? I joined TCS as a 10 year experienced professional in Railroad Domain. I was hired for a railroad domain project and much to my surprise they had a big account in the same domain with people not having any experience in it. They claimed projects faking profiles. I was put on a system integration testing review wherein already another person was working having no clue about it as he was from oil and gas domain. I explained him understand the domain and completed the project. Second project was to work on Safety critical project for 1200 requirements. The team had 4 experienced people from other domain who resigned within a month and then all fresher's were put in. The lead without any experience of the work we were doing gave an estimate of 3 months without even consulting me. He was doing false reporting and claiming that 70% of the work was done to client. Client was already unhappy with the quality of work and they even escalated and were not happy with the false reporting status. The lead resigned and then I was asked to lead the team. I trained the people on the domain and even the basics of testing to the extent wherein I used to dictate even the test case description to fresher's in the team. As it was completely python automation, I had to even tell the team how to separate code test wise and how to parameterize functions for common lines of code. I reviewed everyone's artifacts before they checked in. I used to prepare them before client reviews how to explain the work to clients and answer client's queries in review calls. I asked my manager that it is difficult to manage here with so many fresher's and asked them for atleast 1 or 2 more domain experienced people which was rejected saying testing can be done by anyone and that even h e can explain requirement to anyone. He did not even knew what work we were doing. Everyday spent 3-4 hours on calls with teams helping them debug failures and complete their work.
