BizOps career trajectory?
Folks,
I am considering a senior position in BizOps at a SaaS startup. Looking for feedback from viners on the following:
-
Whats is the career trajectory for such a role? Are there any other roles it opens for you?
-
What is the ideal compensation for such a role?
I have 8+ years of experience across consulting, VC and operating roles.
Thank you!
Could you share what bizops means / how is it different from usual operations. Is it more like customer success waala domain?
So think of it as the CEO, CTO, CPO are at the top. There are multiple pods or teams across the org that need to be managed.
Now the bizops person / team sits in between the C suite and the rest of the org to do the following
- Track performance and reporting
- Communicate implementation of strategy of the business and ensure it gets implemented and reflects in point 1
- Maintain all data sanctity across functions and provide responses to the questions that founders need to spend time on
Currently none of this is structured in the org. So structuring, communicating, tracking and inferring.
Interesting.. is this a role that companies are open to?
