CTC for next job

I am living in Kochi and my current CTC is 5.4lakhs. I have only been in my current job for 7 months and I have experience of 4 years. Recently I saw a job notification for a new job in a company where one of my friends works. Position is for Sr.Full stack dev. Even though I am really good at React, redux and javascript, It has been 2 years since I worked with node.js as a background and MySQL as db. I am confident that I can get the job done in backend. My issue is how much should I ask them as my CTC. Can it go upto 10lakhs or should I be contempt with 8 lakhs, I'm really troubled here. Can anyone help.

Not sure about the locality but for your experience 10 is low

You can ask your friend what is the pay scale for that role and then ask 15-20% more than that
