Career Advice
I got a job opportunity from HDFC bank. The job expects me to shift to Mumbai from Bangalore WFH currently. The pay is 30LPA is it worth considering it according to the cost of living in Mumbai ? Seriously heard it's very costly not been there. And currently I'm working in a Consulting firm is it the right move to consider. Will it be good for my career ?
By the way it's going to be my 3 switch in 5 years just looking to settle where there stability and no layoffs
Please advise is it worth considering an Indian private bank
Dude don't even think about X switches in Y years. Nobody cares about that anymore. Companies are doing multiple rounds of layoffs, why can't you switch multiple times if you think it's the right choice for you.
Also it is a great hike in this market and since it's a bank you will have a lot of work to do as an infra engineer. Banks have shitty IT infrastructure. It could be interesting and challenging depending on what you make of it.
Navi Mumbai is a better place to be in Maharashtra. You'll definitely miss Bangalore but it's a good opportunity I believe.
Thanks dude many told me there won't be any learning That's why I was worried about the growth. Thanks for the positive words
Personally I would not choose Bangalore wfh to Mumbai for 30 lpa. What is your current salary?
21 lpa
@Pikachuuuuuu It is good hike, and Mumbai is just expensive in housing, Food and transport is cheap
What role have they offered?
What's the location? You can stay in sub-urbs where the cost of living is less compared to the main town. Travel, food is cheap here.
Navi Mumbai dude
Navi mumbai is good. You will feel decongested compared to mumbai. Roads are wide. Well planned. Better connectivity to mumbai as well. If your office is in Airoli, lots of housing options available around.
Nikal lo yha se... Bambai me sapne pure honge ..koi language sikhne ka pressure v ni h
While you may not get apartments as big as you have in mumbai depending on the final location you can get decent housing options. Suburbs are still good. Public transportation is better in mumbai and areas can be accessed with ease.
Is the offer worth considering based the hike and no of switch made
