Guys, i currently work in CTS as a Data Engineer having a package of 4.68 LPA. I have experience of 2 years and 3 months, but the thing is I am not getting my deserved promotion since last two quarters. I dont know if they will give next quarter.

CTS - 4.68 LPA with variables included - in hand 31k

I am looking for a job since 2 months and have got only one offer till now that also today. 

7 LPA fixed - in hand 54533/- Chennai Location


I am looking to join this in 1 month. So any advices. I will take up any other offers that comes during this time,but considering the fact that if i dont get, should I be joining this company?

Hi Folks. I'm a Project Management Professional with 8 years of work experience in PPM, PMO, PM, GRC, TMO, etc. Very good experience in Waterfall, Agile, Scrum, JIRA, Project Management & PPM Tools. I've great EQ and IQ, and have always been the person to get the work done. Hold a TATA Value Award as well. Due to some unfortunate turn of events, I had to go through a bad phase and took time off for 2-3 months in early 2024. Now, I've got few offers but not happy with the offered CTC. I'm from core Engineering background and hold a Project Management Certification. My last drawn CTC was 20 LPA all fixed. Trying for >25 LPA.

Got an offer for C3A role (total yoe - 9.8yrs) for  26lpa.
1) Should I try to get C3B role for my experience
2) For VP - there are 2 components listed
(i) Monthly Performance Pay - 15k
(ii) Performance Pay (Quarterly) - 22k
3) What is an emergency fund in TCS.?

I feel 17% VP (4.5L) in total CTC (26L) is too high. The HR said, this 15k monthly will be paid in full. And quarterly pay of 66k (22k x 3) will also be paid. Is this true or some deduction will be there?

Please let me know if this is the norm VP in TCS and share some tips to negotiate for more fixed pay..

I am a backend engineer, working in a tech powered fashion company. 

Total experience: 3.5 yrs
Current CTC : 24 lac fixed, 12 lacs ESOP in 4 years

I joined as a software engineer, this April I will complete 2 years in current company, but Manager saying promotion might not be possible due to current situation and less promo slots available. 

I have been quite a good performer last 2 years , building a crucial project from scratch and handling everything alone due to short staffing. There is sole dependency on me for that project and company has ambitious golas with that project this year. Recently got SPOT award from skip manager as well.

Only talked to manager last week , although we had made a promotion action plan few months back for my promotion this cycle and I meticulously followed every points in that plan , manager doesn't seem to be fighting much for my promotion, although he always says in my face that I am his star performer.


I am really upset with this. What should I do ?? 

Talk to skip manager? Consider switching company ? 

Please suggest me. Thanks. 

P.S : work culture and wlb is good here. Also as I have the complete ownership of the project, I learn as well.

I am currently working with a start-up from the last 2 years as a web developer angular+ dot net. My current CTC is 5LPA. Waiting for appraisal form last 1 year, and management has cleared that we do not expect a magical raise this time, I will hardly get 25 - 30% this time. Should I wait for 1 more year here( product is good and work culture is best). Or look for another opportunity. How much salary should I expect from outside? I have good knowledge and worked on various things frontend, backend, ci/cd.

Hello everyone,

I'm currently seeking some advice on a significant career decision I'm facing. I'm presently working at Walmart in Bengaluru with the following package:

Total CTC: 32 LPA
Fixed: 22 LPA
Bonus: 5 LPA
Stocks: 5 LPA (vested over 4 years)

Recently, I've received an offer from Oracle, (Senior Applications Engineer) also in Bengaluru, with a fixed CTC of 34 LPA. While the package is slightly higher, my primary motivation for considering a change is to relocate to Hyderabad.

Dilemma:

Accept the Offer:

Be on notice period and keep looking for more opportunities in Hyderabad.
If I don't find a suitable position in Hyderabad during the notice period, join Oracle in Bengaluru and adapt to the new company.

Reject the Offer:

Continue my search for opportunities in Hyderabad while staying at Walmart.
Key Considerations:

Relocation to Hyderabad: This is my top priority.
Package: While the Oracle offer is better, I would have preferred something around 40 LPA to make a definite move.

Questions:

Is it worth accepting the Oracle offer and continuing my job search during the notice period?
Should I reject the offer and focus solely on finding opportunities in Hyderabad?
Is there a possibility Oracle might agree to a location change to Hyderabad, especially if I negotiate?
