Which company is better for a systems engineer to work for, Cognizant or Capgemini? The hierarchy of both the companies are very different. According to your query as systems engineer in TCS. The designation differs in capgemini cognizant. I believe you should be specific with what is your years of experience in order to share you any sort of salary information.
Note that external hired employees get a package based on their calibre. And it can differ from one person to other. Let's say your salary is 8 LPA. And you have an experience of five years. You will be given a position as consultant with a package max 11-12 LPA with Capgemini.
Capgemini's company culture is okayish. But generally your work life balance depends on the kind of manager you are associated with. Mine is terribly fucked up.
All service sector companies are the same. It's about your luck who you work with if your manager is sane and is sensible, then you are lucky else everyone will rot in a fast pace, unhealthy and toxic environment.
No HR escalation in this matter has ever helped. I feel it is corrupted management. But not necessarily it will be the same experience for others.
Hikes are poor. You'll expect max 10% and min 3% hike.
