Hey guys, 

I'm a recent engineering graduate from a Tier-1 University with decent skills and cgpa. 

As I graduated, I got placed in a MNC as a consultant. But I haven't heard any updates from them yet. Worried about my future, I've started applying to companies for internships and jobs too.

But not only am I not getting selected, I'm not getting any kind of updates from these companies too. Not even as much as a rejection mail. I've recently hit three digits in the number of applications and it's worrying me to see no responses. 

So this is my humble request to the community to help me find a job. I'm a skilled data analyst with proficiency in SQL, Excel, Power BI and Python. I also did many projects on data science and machine learning but my primary interest lies in analytics. 

Even anything as small as a suggestion/tip on what to do or how to proceed would be helpful !!!

Frustration on a daily basis

I have a full time job as a data scientist and I am thinking of picking up few freelance projects parallely. 

Apart from conflict of interest, I wanted to understand what are the risk, especially when I will joining a new company.

Freelance work apart alongwith full tume job

I am a fresher. I have already applied to over 60+ companies regardless of their WLB and other aspects. I also have a good portfolio of personal projects. 

Most people say to find a small startup and directly message the founder(s) and proceed along with it. But I'm unable to find which ones are good companies. Even if I use Linkedin Search by using number of filters, it anyway gives me 1000s of results. 

It's so hard to find a good company to work for. Also, I dont won't to work for Big 4 or other huge names.

And even if I find and apply for the role, most companies don't respond. Only half of the companies sent me automated acknowledgements for my applications and around 10 companies rejected me straight away. Got interviewed at 2, but failed.

Any tips on how to find good companies (of any size) and increase the probability of getting interviewed?

Hi all Analytics folks,

I need your help, suggestion and whatever you can in python project in data analytics.
I have a couple of doubts in it.

I'm a data analyst having 2 year of experience while i know python but never worked in it. I used SAS and SQL. I'm giving interviews since couple of months and I'm realizing interviewers aren't so happy from the project i did in my company, it's sort of reconciliation ane validation.

1. Now I want to build some portfolio project in python specifically in data analytics(excluding any ML algorithms) but unable to find any. I'm searching projects in marketing customer segmentation and risk analytics but i found everyone is using ML in these projects.

Can't it be done without using ML or I'll have to use ML algos and core stats in building portfolio project.

2. What you guys do in your day to day work in python. Ratio of your work in python, sql, excel and other tech stacks. Excluding ML coz I'm not focusing on it for now.

Seeking advice on a potential job switch and compensation. I am currently employed as a Lead Business Analyst(Total Exp:6 Years) at a US-based edtech company with a fixed CTC of 25 LPA. My skill set includes Tableau, SQL, Python, Automations, Statistical Analysis, and Stakeholder Management. Lately, I've noticed a lack of substantial job calls, and the few I've received are capped at ~27 LPA. Some recruiters even claim that I'm already in a higher salary band, which I believe might not be accurate.
