How important is it to update?
The description of the update has been same for years.
Sometimes, 1 hour after updating they ask me to update again 🤷

How frequently do you update Google apps?

- WhatsApp banned over 84.58 Lakh Indian accounts in August 2024 due to violations of its terms of service, local user grievances, and orders from the grievance appellate committee (GAC).
- 16.61 Lakh accounts were proactively removed using machine learning tools detecting suspicious behaviour like bulk messaging.
- The report was published in compliance with India’s IT Rules, 2021, requiring platforms to disclose content moderation efforts.
- WhatsApp received 10,707 user complaints in August 2024, with action taken on 93 cases.
- This follows reports of the Competition Commission of India (CCI) considering action against WhatsApp for allegedly breaching antitrust laws.
