My dream is to spend my 30s living in the country side of Japan and enjoy the peaceful life there. But I know with all the responsibilities that I have , this is never gonna become a reality 🤭

Livin the dream

My dream was to work at early stage startup as a Software Engineer bcoz startups were cool. But the toxic environment and lack of organisations made it a nightmare to work at. 

Then I became a PM at a startup after getting hyped about Product Management. And then I realised no matter what you do, the CEO does whatever he feels like. And months later the project is scraped. And I learn only the things a PM should not do.

So what's the role that you got excited about that turned to shit?

What’s a childhood dream you still hope to achieve?

You know you’re in love when you can’t fall asleep because reality is finally better than your dreams

Where did it all go wrong?

So I recently changed my job (startup I was working for got closed). Got a decent hike the team  is big than my previous org.
But I'm not feeling the same excitement and enjoyment I used to get my prev org.
Reason of not feeling good:
Was working on more comfortable language org, but here try hand on new language.
Was given time to discuss and then code thing in prev org, here just push things asap as it's business important.

So planed that I will give 2 months time then decide I need to continue or not.
After 2 months still in dilusion.

Any thoughts that's is common or just over thinking.

It is not the usual society rule, but I have had this longing of own house.

Childhood was spent I  government house, adjusting with members of family.

Now I am earning fine, will have 20% of loan in liquid cash by end of year.

But I also have practicality now. No fancy house are spared in these rains, there are so many repairs - one thing is repaired, second one goes down then third then fourth, bigger the house more you have to clean - wtf is this dist coming from, then you have asshole neighbours. And be scared what if there's a fire, robbery, calamity.

I had just one dream, but really rethinking the whole plan now.
So lost to be honest.
