EPF account name

Need some advise. My name in marks sheet is SURNAME GIVENNAME while in Aadhar it is GIVENNAME SURNAME. I need to update my EPF name as it currently doesn't match with Aadhar name. I've two options

  1. Mark sheet name to EPF - This require correction to aadhar
  2. Use name in aadhar for EPF - In this case, my marksheet name doesn't match aadhar. I'm afraid if this causes any employer rejections in future as part of their background checks.

Pan card and aadhar should have same name format. I have been seeing similar issues myself. First name last name is better combination to have on every ID or accounts.

But it's impossible to change my academic documents now as name there is SURNAME GIVENNAME. I hope employers can understand this while they check my graduation certificate. All my other documents have GIVENNAME SURNAME including Aadhar and PAN

Don't worry about the academic documents, not asking to change those. ID cards having same name format is more important. You can justify name format on other documents especially to bgv.

BGV checks are not black & white checklist. They do use common sense to understand the transposition error. So better to stick with Aadhar name.
