I have freelanced on upwork earlier and maximum reached $20/hour in development gigs but got burned out by constant pressure of rebidding once the current project gets over. The profile is still 5 star rated but getting full time job through these freelancing platform require lots of marketing and bidding and it’s difficult with day job. However recently I have seem trend where there are some genuine folks such as harkirat who are upping the game by earning around 5 crore annually through posh remote jobs. Has anyone of you tried pursuing that route by reaching out to founders of early stage startups on twitter/linked in or used freelancing portals such as upwork to get full time gigs which pays more than $100k remotely. If yes please share some guidance.

If you are top 5% , how would you market yourself to take next leap? Brand building as they call . Youtube marketing, twitter branding, linked in top voices but we have real job and deadlines at senior positions and it seems these folks are hiring third party agency to do all this or they are brother of elon musk 😀😀
He's not "genuine". Stop day dreaming about crazy salaries and focus on getting better at your craft. Go beyond your "stack" and actually learn what programming is.
😀 ok after getting better at craft, whats next. Keep switching in india but even faang here hardly offers beyond 2 cr for senior folks and here a 28 year old is getting 5 cr sitting at home and writing web 3 applications which is not some mumbo jumbo if one dives deep into solidity. The only catch is how to land these early startup remote offers
Did you see his salary slip? I can see you're obsessed with his "salary", but learn to think for yourself. If you're this dumb you'll never make that 2cr either. Also, there is no magic "early startup remote offers"- you get paid what you're worth. Ofc there are people earring 5cr, maybe even more, but they're not on YouTube scamming guys like you. When you actually learn beyond your "stack", you'll realise all this.

5 crores is impossible. Some crypto startups or AI startups would have paid that during 2021 22 but not now a days.
Survivorship bias - Eg. if Virat Kohli makes it you too It's easier to talk and sell dreams than to do it.
Ask this, how many so-called influencers with 4Crs salary replicated that success for their customers? My guess 0.001%.
I once got a remote job offer from inisev (malta) I asked for 3k usd per month considering my rate was 25$ that time for foreign clients. They said it was too expensive.
Also, I never made big in freelancing either. I was hired for 25$ per hour but my income summed up annually is still less than 5L inr.
There are lot of so called influencers who don’t do as they preach, its just that since internet is free snd ppl dont have anything constructive to do so they scroll thorough random reels and videos the entire day. If only they utilise just 50% of that time in improving their skills, its not the influencers who are stupid its the ppl who follow and hype them.
I have lots of my friends who are getting $20 per hour full time gig for 40 hours per week with European companies and they are earning max $3200 per month which is very good considering any tier 2 town but thats what I believe. That too mid to senior folks
