Edit Offer Letters

Just a curious question. If i have 2 companies with almost the same offer(12 LPA), both are start-ups. Can I negotiate with 1 of them that I have another offer of around 14 LPA. And if yes do they ask for proof before joining or after? POV: It's my first switch?

5.5 yrs of experience Tier 1 MBA Fully WFO What should I ask for SPM at Policybazaar? Also, HR is asking for - 3-months salary slips - Alternate Offer Letter (I said I have; but I don't) Should I share these? Aren't salary slips asked before joining? Any help would be appreciated.

I had been toiling in my current organization for a good while despite the compensation not being totally fair. Whenever I brought this discussion up with the CEO, he always played the friend card and promised to give me what I deserve once the company raises the next round. He also claimed to have supposedly saved me from the layoffs which was completely in his control in the first place. Now I got a better offer, kind of like a dream offer- one that I well deserve, and have convinced a challenging panel to get. One small concern is that during the initial stages of the application, I lied about how much I was getting paid currently. Now that I actually made it and got the offer, I have to submit the documents. How far are these things taken seriously?

What can be the consequences of showing Forged offer letter. Like I have got offer 0f 24LPA from Company A. Now company B offers me same I want to join B, whatif I edit 24 of A to 28 LPA, show that to B and ask them match it. I don't think B will contact A to confirm it, BgV also concerns previous employers.. So is there any risk???

Do companies disclose compensation details, internal pay-grades, internal designation/grade of their ex-employee to the background verification agencies employed my the ex-employees's new employer ?

I accidentally shared the actual offer from one company with another company instead of sharing just the anexure. Will there be any consequences? Does HRs contact each other to verify competing offers? I am a bit scared that the first company might withdraw my offer if they come to know that I am window shopping.

My cousin is joining this small (15 people) agency/startup and has been asked these IMO Previous employer's offer letter and payslips are kinda sus? Thoughts? P.S. Offer letter has still not been processed What should be shared and what not?
