Emergency sirens in Office

We had just gotten done with the morning standup and a bat entered our office. It started flying everywhere above our heads. Just like it happened in the show Most people ran out of the office, but some sone cold people stood there working and unaffected Lastly, the bat is still somewhere in our office. It hid itself somewhere in the ceiling and hasn’t been located 😭

Company Forcing Me To Serve 90 Days Of Notice Period. Hello, I work in an IT service company in Pune, Maharashtra which I joined on 1st Nov 2021. In my offer letter notice period is mentioned as 60 days. 1 month after joining the company, management decided to change the notice period to 90 days as a company policy for each employee. But during that, they asked for our consent which I did not give. I have it in an email as well from an HR help desk that I'll have to serve 60 days of the notice period. But still, when I want to resign they're asking me to serve 90 days of the notice period. I talked to HR about this and they said each employee was contacted personally by HR and was given an option either agree to the policy change or resign within a week. Now the problem is there is written communication about this in my inbox from my HR or even an informal message on a company messaging application. I want to know if it's legal and if can they force me to do it even if my offer letter says 60 days of the notice period.

The economy went down? Yes. Did it affect all kinds of companies? Yes Did the banks fire any one? No Did the Railways fire anyone? No Did the media agencies fire anyone? No Did Large Tech companies and IT fire people? Absolutely yes Tech is the most ruthless-stupid sector that is so flimsy and short sighted that it doesn't care jack-shit about employees Tech companies will pay employees large salaries in a heartbeat, they'll hire 1000s of them and then fire 100s of them in a heartbeat destroying careers. Sigh!

Hello everyone, We started a project to help the urban population to access real-time important notifications to make smart decisions each day and........ (something the world can't ignore it, but learn.) Imagine this, you have access to FM radio, just as a police officer, all time in your hand and you could say anything to the entire Bangalore but only people, whom that information is relevant, will hear you instantly. Now, imagine everyone has the same superpower of FM radio. And, FM radio and system has ethic code doesn't let you share bad/harmful/hurtful.... All relevant information in sync with all people in the city. Sorry, this is all I could share for now, There are more on other aspects delivering great uses but I can't. Now, throw me some questions about this. Is this a want or need? - Finding a single room @5K in HSR layout. Or, vehicles are towed from regular road side parking space😅. Or, searching for a CTO around🤗. (if everyone willing to join as CTO will get notified instantly from this single post on grapevine, it would be magic, right?)🤯 I will check my Gmail [email protected]📥 hoping to find some unconventional passion, commitment for doing the impossible, and funny as I am bored with employee/boys talk. (100% excited, enthusiastic when it comes to ideas, Strategies, team management, caring, development, marketing, inspiration, and building.) BTW, hiring is on for major roles. The current tech lead is a good person, smart, intelligent just not enough experienced for fast paced delivery and he agreed for it.

System, process, people or thoughts? What was the thing that made you go, shit I can't be here anymore!

I am 26 now. And started my career in 2018 when i was 21, and from my first day till now I am doing a wfh. Initially it felt good as you get lots of personal time, no travel time and expenses. And then in covid while people where panicking switching to wfh, I was already adapt to it very well. But lately I have now started seeing some negative impacts of it. 1- Social life is at stake as I went to study outside my home town and almost lost all my connections here. 2- No personal interaction with people on higher position than you as that helps a lot in ones upbringing. 3- Following same life style for years and years. 4- Poor physical health and mental health being in a room for 8 hours of work, 8 hours of sleep and 2-4 hours more depending on other tasks. Adding to it now i feel it makes more sense having a office job which makes you feel more lively and a part of society.
