Any career coaches around ?

There are too many professional career coaches out there. Anyone has any experience of working with one and has it worked out for you?

A friend of mine has 15+ YOE working as a Senior Manager at a Software Services company but left to pursue their own idea. It’s been a few months now and they are back on the market - looking for new opportunities. They had worked at their previous company for about 8 years or so. I’ve known this person for 3 years and I can vouch for their loyalty, dedication and capability to enable any team to do their best. Would truly appreciate if anyone would be willing to give any referrals, recommendations, etc for Senior Program Manager or similar roles. Thanks!

After there was a layoff at your company 1- Impacted by layoff : Did your manager/team mates connect with you to keep you motivated? 2- The ones not impacted - Did your leadership/manager set up a team call to explain the reason for layoff and remove the fear/uncertainty that the rest of the people are safe. What did it tell you about the higher management of the company?

Last year, during this time of year, I had a ops job and I was very stressed. I was scared of office calls. I knew that job was not for me. This year I don't have any job. But I will be joining somewhere in few days. It is an okayish place. But I still am not happy. There is lesser but constant stress like last year. Maybe my frustration was because I was not able to handle the situation in my last job and not because of the situation I was in. And I still feel that way. What should I fix? How?
