Career coaching - has it helped you?
There are too many professional career coaches out there. Anyone has any experience of working with one and has it worked out for you?

Did 2 sessions as a part of stoa career coaching, helped me massively, no fluff only practical insights into self. No advice or gyaan.
Hey, keen to know more. I'm way past the Stoa limit (2-5 years work exp is best for Stoa).
Will you be willing to share more on what the session actually covered? Is there some framework they followed?

Hey so it was more of a self discovery session where you come in talk about where you wanna improve, and they pose clarifying questions to make you think and find solutions yourself.

Coaching is quite helpful, because it helps you as a mirror and helps you address important things that you’ve otherwise been skipping out
Like I remember in college I used to anyway have mindfulness, would actively think about things that are important. With a busy life, that stopped.
In my case an ex manager became a professional coach and the sessions with them were quite transformative
They were my manager at a previous company. Started practicing coaching and offered me for free.

I’ve never had an interaction with a Career Coach. But I’d love to speak to someone whose an expert in giving professional guidance. There are days where I feel stuck about where I’m at, and I can’t see the way ahead
Don't go for career coaches specifically as they have a broader view. Go ask an individual who is already doing the jobs you wish to. They will clear your doubts better.
Im curious for the same, but would need reccomendation from someone who has done it and found useful
