Over the last month or so we announced two massive products that are as big as Grapevine itself:   1. Private Company groups with verification 
2. Salaries on Grapevine 

Thousands of you have since adopted these products, but most importantly, you gave us great feedback and we are working on making these more helpful

Here’s what you can expect from Grapevine in the next few weeks: 

1. Direct Messaging on Grapevine (yes yes, I know at this point everyone seems to be giving up on this xD)
2. V2 Update to Salaries - making it more useful with more data points 
3. Launching verification and company private groups for 100 companies (we will keep doing this where we have enough people)
4. A better feed: We are hoping to show you less of posts you’ve already seen (A common complain with Grapevine)
5. A new approach to communities on Grapevine
6. A feature buff to Polls - making them even more insights rich
7. Better Link type posts - currently links on Grapevine are broken
8. Grapes V2: People will get grapes for creating ‘Chatty posts’ and ‘Deep Polls’ over and above the current definition of Grapes that is just focused on the number of likes you get
9. An Official Grapevine mixer (details soon!)

While this app and user base has grown a lot since the inception, it still misses out on some key features.

I really like grapevine but I mostly surf it on the web, so I just wanted to share few points that would enhance the experience.

1. Dark mode 
2. Make the post open in new tab( i can't see "open in a new tab" option on right click)
3. Get rid of the get the grapevine component on the right side, it can take a small space on the top right or bottom right, it doesn't have to take so much space IMO.

These are all the changes that I would like to see, i just felt it'd be more visible here rather than on google play review

I have been on grapevine for some months now and this is the best community building app I have ever seen I can talk my heart out and the people here actually come out to support and share their journey and experiences as well. Hats off to the founder who has made grapevine

Love grapevine. This is the best community I have found to actually talk my heart out, it’s like grapevine and the people who are using grapevine have become my go-to people when it comes to sharing my life and career or anything.

I’ll go first, do share your thoughts. 

- More ‘grapes’ use case? (Debatable)
- Actual spacing between lines for separate paragraphs, new statements in comments. 
- The ‘replies notifications’ to your post should redirect to the comment not to the post, we end up to have to scroll to find the same comment.
- The ability to re - edit the ‘community tab’ on a post when selected wrong.

As Grapevine enters its second year of being live, we wanted to finish the major overhaul we were building towards over the last few months. 
We've rolled out some big updates today - please do update your app.

Here's some top changes: 

1. Communities: A whole new look to communities on Grapevine, along with new features such as community sort and live member counts (screenshot attached) 
2. UI: A new font, new like (upvote) button and new community icons across the app
3. 100 Private Grapevines: We are proud/happy to share that there's now 100 private company grapevines where verified employees talk amongst each other. Join your company's Grapevine now. 
4. Grapes 2.0: A new definition for Grape rewards coming soon. Grapes 2.0 definition will include more value to users for creating 'chatty' posts and verifying yourselves 
5. Direct Messages: Multiple changes to improve the DM experience on Grapevine. You can also DM anyone from the Grapevine team (including MS) at any time without any Grape-constraints :)
6. Gestures: You can now swipe between screens on Grapevine, you can also swipe left when a post is open to go back to home screen (on iOS)

Just saw an ad for Grapevine on Reddit. Always thought of Grapevine as the Reddit for Indian working professionals. Isn't it ironic that they're advertising here? Makes you wonder if Reddit will start advertising on Grapevine next! 😆

How's Grapevine different from Discord?

I feel that when you open up to people about your traumas and insecurities, people are only going to use it against you in an arguement.

While you might argue that not everyone does that, and I would be the first one to agree to that. But you somehow stop trusting everyone, even your shadow , when your favorite people become your most bitter life lessons. 

The one who feels emotions always ends up suffering more. In the hindsight, it feels as if being a bare minimum "good human" is a curse. 

However,

I have been using grapevine to vent out and connect with strangers and so far I have only met supportive and empathetic human beings (most of them). 

Despite being covered in the sheild of anonymity, most people have only been respectful and kind. 

This proves that we, as humans , are only meant to love each other. Hatred is futile. Empathy is inherent while hatred is "cultivated".

I hope grapevine founders dont stumble across this post else theyll start charging premium fees when they realize how highly people speak of this platform lol
