I was thrilled to be hired by XYZ Company during campus placements with a CTC of 8.5 LPA. However, after waiting for almost a year to get onboarded, I started my journey with them and completed three months of training. Unfortunately, due to a lack of projects and requirements, I have been put on bench and my job is at risk.

During my time at XYZ Company and through my academic journey, I have gained knowledge and skills in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, Java, JUnit, Spring, Spring Boot, Microservices, and MySQL. Despite this setback, I am more determined than ever to continue growing and learning.

As freshers, we need opportunities to prove ourselves and learn. I am actively looking for new opportunities where I can contribute, gain valuable experience, and further develop my skills as a fresher. If you know of any openings or have any advice, I would greatly appreciate your support.

I don’t think I can do even one week more of job search. 

Bangalore Startup’s have lost it - I am being offered 4-6L peanut salary because I am fresher and need a lot of training but the assignments I get for the process are full on product launch-GTM case studies. I mean WTF

It was better if I was looking for a sales role 4L salary and seedha normal sales interview.

I don’t think how they think that I can make their GTM in under 2 days and at the same time need a lot of training.

Account Manager 5 year
PM(Designation Product Specialist) 1 year, internally transitioned after 2 years working as an AM.

CTC 10 Fixed - Highly Underpaid 

Took a pay cut to transition to product role, company policy states team change pay cut because a fresher in new team. 

Not good relationship with current manager because financial issue fucks up mental health which fucks up work as well. So appraisal out of the picture. 

So I am looking for a job,wherever I have applied my cv is getting rejected. I have checked the ATS score and it is >80% 

Have checked with people from multiple companies: zynga, cars24, nykka and the trend is tier 1 college students get preference. 

Cannot pursue MBA now because age is almost 28 and cannot afford the fees. 

Are there any Certifications/exams which can help here ? A portfolio of projects ? 

Someone mentioned ISB PM course as well but gone through reviews on Reddit and it’s not worth it as per them. 

The last resort is upraised.co Bootcamp. Is it worth it when it comes to job placement?

Last year March, I was hired as Growth & Marketing Lead in one of the companies abroad at 30LPA (Remote). Now, they are shutting the project I’m in and have received a notice. 

I’m a Marketer by profession with expertise in 0-1 growth in startups. I’ve 8 YOE. Now the problem is, 0-1 startups in India can’t afford me easily and other startups say I don’t have experience in series B and further kind of startups. 

If 0-1 have got good funding amount, they still want to hire someone who has experience of scaling Series A and further kind of startups. 

The basic chicken and egg problem. 

Although I’m trying to apply for the companies abroad, I’m super confused what should I do now. I’ve emergency funds to sustain 3 months but don’t want to rely on that.

I've been in the job market for about 4 months now.
It's disheartening to go through the process and companies not valuing your time or the word they gave.
I've been in offer stages for 3 companies now and it's just frustrating for one reason or other things just don't end up working out. Either it's low balling the offers or just plain "internal misalignment". 

I've 7 years of 0-1 sales experience and it's getting tough to see the light at the end of the tunnel. 

Not sure why I'm ranting here, maybe there are folks in the similar boat and would love to hear how your experience has been looking for a job in this climate

Denial just prolongs finding a new role.

Instead of posting how many applications have been turned down, how interviews are not converting
Use the same space to put out your skills, talk about things you worked on
You must be good at something to have survived in the market 
If someone is looking for your profile, your whine post won’t make a cut because it doesn’t even tell them about you

Unpopular Opinion: Please don't cry for work after layoff, talk why you should be hired

Please don’t cry why the other party is does not deserve to be the ruling party, instead talk about why your favourite party deserves to win the the elections. 
  
 Please don’t cray after a local goon illegally occupies the property you bought with your hard earned money, instead talk about why you deserve to be the rightful owner of that property.  
  
 Please don’t cry when your wife/husband abuses you, instead talk about why you deserve not to be abused.  
  
 I hope you and people with similar thinking get the message. Sometimes you get treated they way you don’t deserve to be treated. A layoff doesn’t mean you are not good at what you do, there are variables, internal politics, mediocre managers safeguarding mediocre talent due to their personal connections. So, let people cry, dil halka hota hai usse.

It has been 25 days since I got laid off from the startup that I was working for. I have given a few interviews. Got rejected in 1st or 2nd rounds in a few, went till the last round n rejected in a couple and haven't heard back from the HR in a few. Not hearing back, unanswered calls, delays in rounds etc. cause a lot of anxiety and impacts my confidence and preparation levels. How do I tackle it? 
Also, unable to find fresh openings in product/ strategy roles for past few days. This also adds to pressure and uncertainty.

In short, it is a very troubling phase. How do I deal with it? Need enormous help from all of you folks. Would love to hear some great thoughts / insights / hacks too.

I am a 2023 cse grad, I am a bit demoralised, I feel I did not achieve what I aimed for even after large amount of grind and great profile, I aimed for placements in mncs but still got ghosted, I have around 600 applications in different tech companies, Should I aim to leave IT after few years or be patient to let market bounce stronger?

Hello Folks,
So recently I came across a post on grapevine where a guy from XYZ company got laid off and he posted that he just got laid off and looking for job, That's it and nothing else and this post got so much engagement like people are commenting about open roles in their company, some are referring him and some are giving suggestions and all. Now few days ago I also wrote a post that I am graduating in 2024 and how I have 1.5 years of production grade internship experience and does not have full time offer but my post hardly received any traction and all I got was 2 comment where one guy asked for my stipend and another told that I should not aim for job paying lower than 1 lakh per month, this and that. 

So why people are not helping new graduates but are helping the laid off people, I have seen this on all platform like linkedin twitter, what's the reason for this?

I feel a lot of insecurity about what if I lost my job.
I work in Analytics & data science in a well known Indian Bank.
Overall WOE is 8 yrs with 6 yrs in Analytics

Tier 1 Engg+MBA.

I would say after MBA i lost my way and hence behind my peers in career growth. This is mostly due to unsatisfactory work in the beginning leading to switches based on emotions and impulse, not patience.

Though my current job is stable and its been about 2.5 years in this role, it’s a bit stressful and honestly I don’t like the constant firefighting mode that we are in. I constantly put in 10-11 hrs on a daily basis with occasional work on weekends. This includes almost 3 hrs of meetings everyday, where a lot of redundant work requests come in and almost everytime they have to be delivered in next 1-2 days. Quality of work is not so great.

I tried applying but not getting decent calls. Only startups and Indian cos with high turnover reply to my applications. They too aren’t ready to discuss a decent hike.

I am really insecure about what will happen if I quit / laid off. I have gone through layoffs earlier in my career and believe me it’s a terrible experience, eats up all your savings. 

I tI tried a few sidegigs to build passive income source such as building a YouTube channel on travel, or a travel advisory app but couldn’t move much. App didn’t happen and YT channel didn’t get off after few months of hard work.


I currently am very demotivated and feel that i have not been able to grow in my career. Salary posts on grapevine add a lot more to my demotivation.

Current CTC is 27.

Lets discuss!!! I will go first -

I quit my last organisation (a famous UPI company) in 2020 because, they still are in old technology. No cloud computing, no kubernates, no terraform. Their entire baremetal infra are in 2 DCs (Mumbai and Bangalore). Leadership ideas are outdated. I was very much bored and looking for a change.

Why did you resign?

Amount of effort i put and the salary i got was not proportional. 14 hrs to get 30k salary as a fresher. I had understood that I deserve better - thus i moved to get better pay and better wlb (which I got in swiggy)
