Shareholders cant have the same conviction as the founder's/Ceo 
 Most probabily the founders did not have a majority share anymore due to so much funding, dilution and things were out of their hands. 
 Hopefully he doesn't start another round of restructuring.

Not everyone is lucky enough to see a downward spiral first hand. It’s a good learning experience. I’m interviewing of course and intend to jump ship asap. But it’s still an interesting experience

So much mess is going on in gojek, a lot of higher management is forced to left company.

Seems like Andre is forced to left by investors.

Usually when investors takeover they just care about profits and earnings (ways to exploit to earn maximum).

Seems like future of GoTo is in clouds.

Almost one year later of, Gojek CO-CEO Kevin steped down from his role, today GoTo CEO Andre also stepped down from his position.

Now, one of the the primary investor is taking his role of GOTO CEO. Investor being CEO is worrisome 😞 

And this is just 2-3 days after Pune office shutdown and 3rd round of layoff.

Attrition is almost all time high. I got to know atleast 5 more are yet to quit. Something cooking?

Heard from multiple people that with Patrick taking the position of CEO that there are rumors circulating about an upcoming reorg and cost-cutting measures, with a strong emphasis on achieving positive EBIDTA to satisfy investorss. Some redundant products within the GOTO is likely to be merged and some team shuffling to happen.
It is uncertain how much of this information is accurate, and I can't imagine an impact this would have.
Silent layoffs, numerous senior leaders leaving and many actively interviewing is just unsettling.
Ideally, I would prefer to focus on my work and end the day peacefully, avoiding the stress of layoffs and excessive supervision. I hope that tomorrow's townhall meeting will not be awkward or gloomy.

Left Gojek around 6 months ago. I was hoping that there will be some positive price movement given a lot of folks were literally saying "wait for the end of year, when we become profitable". 

I have been tracking the price passively but seems like its only going downhill. My ESOP value is another related sob story. 

It seems like there is a much longer wait. How is the mood at the org? Is there a silver lining?

I have been hearing from multiple friends across organizations in India. Lay offs are not in news but happening silently across boards. Companies are on cost cutting mode. Interesting year ahead

 But one interesting thing I have observed is that many organizations are now deliberately making the work environment more pressurised and/or toxic to reduce the headcount so that they don't need to layoff people.

I'm currently feeling insanely stuck in my current role, craving more challenging and fulfilling work. While I do get some tasks, they are not even worth using a few braincells. I am losing my sanity here and the pay is meh compared to the other good companies.

What are some good companies to apply? Making this post cause market has been shifting insanely for past years and I am confused on current dynamic, for eg. been seeing a lot of LinkedIn dudes saying to avoid it with the recent layoffs and cut down of the benefits. 

Looking for some ok WLB, good benefits, better pay. Sorry for the vague question, did not know where else to go

Today, all of a sudden, some folks got emails that they have been laid off. There is an uncertainty around the transparency of layoffs now. It was communicated org wide last March and November when then last 2 layoffs were conducted. This time, no-one seems to know how many people got impacted and who got impacted.

Some people at head/lead/senior positions have started voluntary leaving as well. Not sure if they are being asked to leave or if they are leaving themselves.

Hard to see these things happening in a company with an amazing work culture. :/
