The contribution was done when the people added their salary and YOE to Grapevine. You can go check where you stand. This kind of gatekeeping is selfish at best and retarded at worst
Blind Tax is community driven, not company/rule driven.
It is there because the app demography demanded it. You start the trend, the preachers shall practice, and if it fits, then it'll be the norm.
