  When I straight away told to not waste candidates time and give feedback on time, they were like 'we tried contacting you, but couldn't reach'. Bunch of hypocrites.

I got call from hr that I have passed coding round and they need to schedule interview round

15th may was the date decided, I started studying for interview and took 1-2 leaves from my office of that now I didn't get any mail,

I asked again for interview confirmation, he said he has requested for interview to 16 may timeslot, I will get mail by EOD

Now I haven't got any mail for timing, why they can't simply clarify things and keep us waiting

now neither I am focusing on studying nor I am focusing on my current company work 😕

An HR from Infosys just contacted me on WhatsApp and asked about my details I told them I am comfortable talking on a call rather because I will explain better about my past job profile and other details and that shameless person showed attitude and blocked me.

so why are hrs not bothered to send an email if a candidate is rejected for some particular reason after the final round of the interview?

In the last 3 months, I have appeared for PM interviews for three major startups. After collectively going through 12 interviews (3 of them in person) and 2 assignments - I have nothing to show for. The position just evaporates AFTER the whole process has been done. In one of the cases, HR also collected all the necessary documents like salary slips, appointment letter from current org and the likes and asked me put down my papers over a verbal commitment. Good thing I didn't do that. 

It's so ridiculous that these so called unicorns can't even do one little hiring correctly. And how it's even possible to initiate hiring if they don't even have the clarity on whether they want to hire or not? Idk if it's the consequence of a shitty job market or it's my luck. Just feeling extremely frustrated because there's nothing I can do about it. I clear all the interviews and do the assignments perfectly - what else I can do? 

HRs don't even have the guts to apprise me proactively. They'll just stall releasing of the offer letter for weeks and stop taking your calls. One fine day when they finally decide to spare some of their holy time - it's usually a one line response: Position went on a hold, will let you know. Bye. 

Indian job market is really the worst. Absolutely zero ethics and no value for anyone's time.

Has anyone refused to reveal their current salary during interviews? I read somewhere that it's illegal for HRs to ask for current compensation.

Recently interviewed with https://kutumb.app/ for an EIR role as they wanted to enter into an entirely new industry. Had a super pro max awful interview experience! 

HRs and interviewers just waste candidates' time. Call endlessly to schedule an interview and then ghost without even sharing the status of the interview or any feedback!

Around a month ago, HR called to ask if I was interested in the APM role. After following up multiple times for the interview, they said the hiring manager didn't like your profile. After 2-3 weeks, different HR reached out, saying they want to conduct round - 1 for the same team. The interview happened, and I reached out to HR after 3-4 days for the next steps, but she kept cutting my calls and completely ghosted me. I reached out to another HR, and she said the feedback on the portal was that "experience is not enough."

I was pretty disappointed as while conducting interviews, HRs reached out to me so many times, but they couldn't even send an automated email for feedback. 

But it didn't end there. The HR who ghosted me called again after a couple of weeks to schedule round 1 with another team. The interview went well, and the interviewer asked me about my availability for round 2 and when I could join them, etc., saying we would try to conduct the next round soon. When I reached out for feedback, HR kept saying I'll call you later. I'm busy right now, and then they ghosted me. After following up multiple times, she said the feedback wasn't positive. 

I hoped for round 2 here since the interviewer seemed convinced and contented with my profile. Now, just because I reached out 10s of times, they told me that I have been rejected! 

How much time does it take to send an automated email? :/

Most of the queries asked here should be sorted easily if an HR can respond with their insights, but i rarely see any HR participating in discussions, maybe we don't have that many HR's here ?

Or 

maybe you folks want to stay the same as you are on the job, totally useless.

Aren't there enough HR's users on grapevine? I hardly see you folks responding to queries?

Now a days HR reach out to candidate for a job opportunity, when candidates ask for more details about job or something else (without sharing the resume).
No response from HR afterwards. They should atleast reply so that people doesn’t hope and look for something else.

Applied to Paypal through a linkedin job post around mid May. Got reached out by their HR late in May for an Online Assessment round on Hackerrank.

OA was of 1 hour and contained 8 MCQ on Android and 2 DSA easy level leetcode - 2 sum + max profit.

Cleared that and 2 WEEKS later got asked to interview for a subject in depth and DSA round.

This round contained general Android knowledge and in depth language awareness questions(Kotlin based).
Around the end of the interview, the interviewer asked to open any preferrer IDE and share the screen and then to write a solution for eliminating a target value from Integer array(can contain duplicates too) without using extra space.

Cleared that and went on to the 3rd round three days later which was essentially a repeat of the previous round but more conversational. The time ran out before any DSA Question could be asked.

Three days later got asked to interview for the Hiring Manager round which got scheduled and then got cancelled a day before the interview was supposed to take place. 

Tabse leke ye haal hai. HRs are ghosting and seem clueless themselves. Their workday portal also has removed the link for the role I was interviewing for.

Even after clearing assignments, interviews why it's so hard for HR's to respond? I don't care if I am selected or not but I want the feedback if I didn't make it.

I get a call from Accenture HR, asking if I will able to take interview on a weekday. I am busy on the said day, so I told can you schedule the next day. 
The lady literally cut the call. 
Seriously?! 
Is this a behaviour Accenture trains its HR on?
Then why even call?

In an interview I cleared all my round and submitted all govt proof along with current company payslip etc as they demanded this. After one discussion they are saying we have got all your info they will think.
I mean which king of process is this? They wasted all my energy , 5 rounds .

I'll go first. I got a call for an APM role from one of the companies which did sound pretty sketchy and the recruiter was started bullying me into answering questions, when I asked to know more about the role. The recruiter was extremely unprofessional, and obviously the conversation was nowhere great. They however, did go ahead and sent me the JD and other links, etc to fill in and apply for the job. Mind you, I hadn't applied for the job. 🥲
It just was a pretty sour conversation which had left me in an uncertain situation. Any similar experiences?

Weird recruiter experiences

Asked for my expected CTC. I answered and they weren't happy with it. Said they could only give at 40% increment of current CTC and then asked for my current CTC. After hearing my current CTC they said I shouldn't be earning this much and that I was obviously making it up. Then asked to send over my salary payslip which I refused. Basically the HR started being extremely rude at this point stating that I was being unprofessional. I asked their salary budget for the role which they refused to answer. Then I asked if they were willing to hire me for a lower CTC which she instantly agreed and said she knew I was reasonable and I shouldn't have lied about my CTC. I then said good luck finding a candidate for that amount and hung up.

I was told by hr during the initial screening round that I will be sharing your resume with the team and if you're shortlisted someone will contact you. But I haven't received any callbacks.Is this the way of saying "you are not what we are looking for?". Who has the authority to schedule the technical round, hr or the team.

So if there is any HR reading this. Quick question what exactly is your first thought when a candidate reach out to you for any thinking why is your first instinct is to leave him/her on seen? Whats the deal with you guys.
