Depends on your project. In my project, stress levels are moderate, but stress goes high during deadlines or nee customer proposals. I have seen other projects also where people have no stress at all.

Do not join TCS at the early stage of life with a low salary with expectations that it will grow after a year or two. Promotions are very slow. 
Also promotions do not depend on your performance, even if you perform outstanding you might end up getting a 2% hike. Not worth it right. 
Promotions totally depend upon your behavior with your TL and manager. Even if the person does not work but does the chamchagiri of them it works. 
Once the project you are working in RAMPS Down the RMG people helps to ruin your life after that. RMG in Tcs needs proper training to allocate the manpower to proper process.

TCS organises an internal exam called "Wings 1" by which the new joiners can double up their salary. (They get extra incentives, it's added as a separate item in Salary Slip).

• No Fairness
• No transparency 
, just hope so that you get stuck in the loop.

So they organise this 3 times in a year so that they can cover the whole year. (Selling Hope of Getting Cleared Every Cycle).

> A few months back they changed rules as most of the people were on the verge of clearing it.
> There is no particular syllabus for most of the exams.
> If you are on the verge of clearing Required Tracks, you will potentially end up getting failed in one of them for sure.(you'll never know why !)
> There's no marking scheme.
> The exam centres are 50-60KMs away.
> You can't even see how many marks you scored.
> The Result comes after a month, that too is sometimes delayed.(This is the same TCS which organises JEE etc exams).
> If more people are clearing, they reshuffle marks (Happened in Earlier Cycle).
> Even after so many obstacles if you clear it: if your manager gives you C band it goes away...

they call themselves employee friendly 😂.

Most of the new joiners get stuck in this cycle & end up losing their precious time.

Someone should raise this issue. It should be in NEWS.

Can anyone share insights into the various roles available at Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) against YOE?

What roles are available at TCS?

After talking to multiple friends. Here is the ranking//

1. Accenture:
Probably the best of WITCHA squad, WLB is okay and clients are probably better than what you would get in other companies. Your mileage may vary but pay and career progression is better than the rest. 

2. Cognizant:
Not half as bad. Decent clients and sub-par pay but why are they even sponsoring an F1 team? Very vanilla and don't feel strongly about it.

3. Capgemini:
Now this is where it begins. The company is okay. The pay is sub-par and WLB is shit. But they are a professional bunch and won't gang up on you like the ones below in this list.

4. TCS:
Now this is the OG of the gang,. The WLB is shit and the pay is much worse but for key advance tech you can get paid decently well. HR has a tendency to pay Rs.10 more than your current CTC if it is a run of the mill role but what can i say "it is just the bare minimum in this industry now."

5. Infosys:
Sorry but the Murthy Family white-washing their image with all this paid PR while underpaying their employees is the absolute hypocrisy. Shit policies and Shit pay. Have worked here before and working here made a small part of me die every single day here.

6. Wipro:
Either their pitching team is shit or what but they can only win the absolute worst projects. It is still okay if you work at AI Labs or other small teams with better resources and leverage. The hikes here are non-existent and as per my friends you would be non bench for quite long because their staffing team is yuck.


7. HCL: 
The worst for the last. This is the real cesspool of them all. Somehow they get the worst of the worst projects, where support work is the max with no documentation on any of these projects. They once offered a friend of mine lower pay than current salary and effectively said that you are overpaid and this is market standards. I would rather work for no pay at a startup than HCL.

I am leading a decent life. Suddenly a Cyberfraud Happened and lost 70L INR. All of them are loans. Monthly EMIs including Home loan was 1.7L and the duration of loans was ranging between 3yrs to 7yrs. We were able to clear 40L through selling property etc. Now the EMI left is 91K per month for next 4yrs. I got an offer from TechMahindra with 50-60%hike. Currently working with TCS at 22LPA with 15yrs experience. Expecting 10L getting released from banks which were held by Cyber crime, but not sure when is that going to happen. If I get those 10L, the EMIs would further reduce to 70K. Considering Job security and exposure as my priority, is it ok to revoke resignation from TCS and deny TechM offer. Please advise.

I cleared Technical and managerial rounds last week through walkin. HR told me that they will take the HR Interview virtually within a week but it’s more than 10 days. I was following up with HR daily but not getting any response.

If you are getting a role with a salary up to the mark go ahead but the promotions and hike totally depends on the project. As I know the hike at TCS is between 2% to 5%.

Is TCS the Mcdonalds for developers in India?

I joined TCS 3yrs ago and since then I couldn't switch. I am planning since last year March but actually not able to work on it. Even I couldn't apply actively. Currently I am involved in a role which has nothing to do with development and I feel bit less confident. So I want to know why it is so hard to leave? Does everyone feel same? Is this ecosystem somewhat responsible for this?

  Job hopping is one of the fewest ways to attain some economic mobility in this shithole country.   
  For a corporation understand that you're a fungible resource. They'll throw you under the bus once you've outlived their utility. Always lookout for your own personal interest first.
