Try with small size startups who have recently raised pre seed or seed round.  
  
 It's easier for the large startups and MNC recruiters to trust a startup engineer than a service based company engineer.  
  
 Trust is essential to get your first foot into the door, i.e get interviews.

Currently I am trying to switch from service based company to better environment hopefully product based companies. Thing here is I am not getting any interview calls (I may blame 90days notice) but how product based companies hire… like i am checking naukari. It’s full of consulting companies mostly or service based companies. LinkedIn I could see some job posts but not actually hearing back  from them(maybe skill issue) . So like from where these product companies hire ??? Anyone know any leads.

I'm currently working as DSE at Infosys from june 2022 ,i am willing to make a switch to a product based company, but I'm getting almost no interview calls, only calls that i get are mostly from small startups. Can anyone suggest me on how to secure interviews

Getting no interview calls

I got a summer internship at Accenture as an Advanced App Engineering Analyst, started yesterday. There are good chances of PPO post the internship and if I get the PPO then my college does not allow me to sit for placements with the exception of very few companies, which would have the most competition. I really want to get into a product-based company for a full-time role. I applied to Accenture since it was a summer internship. 

So, considering the worst-case scenario where I join Accenture as an FTE with no other options, how hard is it to switch to a product-based company? I'm a good learner so I can learn the required skills and already have some unofficial experience with web development and did good on ML and DL courses of my college with good projects to showcase my skills in them.

I am working as an Android developer in service based companies for more than 7 years in Ahmedabad. As there are very few product based companies in Ahmedabad I am planning to relocate to another city to switch to a product based company ofcourse for better compensation. I have applied to many product based companies but I'm not even getting shortlisted for the interviews. There are many other folks in the service based companies who have faced the same thing. Any advice for switching to a product based company would be really helpful.

11 months - worked in a fairly well known fast growing startup - left coz wanted to move to a product centric startup
14 months - worked in product based big unicorn startup - got laid off
10 months - joined an early stage startup - startup failed and laid off again

Is recession still going on?

This is mostly for people who have spent 10+ years in the industry. I’m sure we all can agree that the hiring and salary boom that we witnessed in 2021-22 is mostly over now. Now it’s more about surviving the job market rather than printing asymmetrical amount of money

But how has it turned out for people who’ve been in the game for too long. I know some people who switched jobs too quickly and are at a higher package but still not content. At the same time, I know a few seniors who’re still in my first company and are happier than ever with the work.

I understand that in Tier-1 cities, the expense itself is more and you’re sometimes forced to switch just to stay afloat. But what would you recommend new joiners based on your experience? Does chasing money in early years help later or only focusing on skills?

I was super curious for product management roles and switch to startups was one of easy bets, my current role( 3 yr work ex as implementation consultant)  in B2B  involved customer interaction and working on requirements on OOTB product,but back then i didn't appear many interviews, i wasn't actively applying but with recent scenario of all layoffs and startups fundings, what should be a good strategy now? I am Stucked in a very weird situation, I am final year mechanical engineering student who was earlier preparing for product management/management consulting entry level roles but due to recession and layoffs and coming from a tier 3 college, I have to change my mind as first is non tech background and second tier 3 college tag and I wasnt getting much response from recruiters too , it was looking difficult for me to get an opportunity so I started preparing for gate but now after spending 6-7 months , I am realising, it never aligned with my goals , now what should I do
