How do you approach networking after losing a job?

My contract was terminated last month citing restructuring. Honestly, I saw it coming but wasn't expecting it would hit like this I tried keeping my mind distracted, but now it has started to sink I live with parents and they aren't saying anything (they were feeding me before and still are, no change for them) I have had thoughts of ending all this, but do not have the courage. What if it ends halfway and I am redundant my whole life? Credit card bills are coming through now and being 42% of my ex-salary wasn't something I was prepared for. I thought I was a sane spender.

Hi folks, I got laid off today from a YC-backed startup (W23) citing a shift in product focus. Was part of the core team since Oct '21, initially as an intern then later converted to FTE in '22. Got a decent (30%+) increment this year. I was leading the mobile platform but currently, I'm on a notice period. CTO is supportive and helping me via their network. I'm a recent graduate and this is my first time experiencing a layoff. What should I do now? What things should I keep in mind looking for the next opportunity? Hello Everyone There is a common saying find a mentor, ask people who are experienced, and take advice from people who have what you want I try interacting with these kinds of better, experienced people than me Either they have DM open only for people they follow on Twitter, not accept connection requests on LinkedIn How to approach these people? I am not playing the victim but how to network when you have nothing of use to them Plz share your experiences overcoming that or how you got the attention of people who align with your vision

Without a job in hand and now I am fucking scared that no one will hire me. Fuck this shit.

I have identified my limiting factors here 1. Introvert, very bad at small talk (any talk for that matter) 2. My first reaction to networking is to get a job, and when that doesn't happen; there's no common table I know networking does not restrict itself to referrals for next job, it can also develop into partnerships that may not even need you to work at a job But how? Also, how do you guys keep in touch with accomplished friends? Everytime I message them, I feel so little.

Apart from oncampus, What are your tips for a fresher to land a job.

Next month I will be getting laid off. Our startup is shutting down because of no funding I am a frontend dev there it's almost 5months I have been working there before that I worked for 8 months as a frontend intern in another startup. My question is what is the main platform I need to focus on or any technique or anything you want to say that might help me to find a new job pls do comment It would be super helpful. If you were in my position what step you would take or any technique you would use that might help you to get a job easily without waiting for months?
