Guys, I did it! I quit my toxic boss.
Without a job in hand and now I am fucking scared that no one will hire me. Fuck this shit.
I was told during covid that they will cut my salary in KPMG because they are doing it for all employees who are contractors.
I said fck it and left the job. Got an opportunity with ey within next 1 month. Always have faith in your degree, your skillsets and your capabilities.

Got nearly 2.5x appraisal after quitting a job that my ex boss thought I was overpaid and underqualified for. Have been more successful since the switch.

Did the new company asked for old CTC and why u leave your job?. What's your answer
Did the same , currently searching for job. Your Mental health is priceless. Save the mental sanity and prepare well for the next move ! All the best 👍
How long has it been since you resigned? How much work-ex do you have already?
6 yr of work ex (project management - non it background) . Last company I had 3 months notice period. It was difficult to get any call with lengthy NP and toxic workplace was cherry on top ! Feb end I finished my last working day . Took some break in between. From mid march actively searching. Got few calls and some interviews lined up in coming weeks.

I attended 4 interviews last week without much preparation, and was able to answer 50-70% of questions.. got feedback from interviewers - will prepare for 1 more month then start giving interviews again.. will definitely get at least one job with hike more than what CG have this year

I took this call 9 years back . I have mixed feelings in how highly recruiters will think of you. Indian recruiters are still weird about quitting without a job in hand .
It will be the best thing to do for your mental health and you won’t regret the decision . You will realise that you will be 10x the person you are now , when you are in a better environment without the toxicity.
Network with your alumni groups ,mutual friends , LinkedIn , etc for referrals and you will be fine, but do step out and meet people if you want a quick switch without a huge break.
Same bro, resigned because wanted to switch with no offer in hand. Giving interviews left right center
Manager are suppose to be toxic! They are paid to be toxic in work environment to get things done.
It unusual to find a good manager who wants to grows as a team. Being VP in an org, my manager is toxic and I make sure that toxicity don’t cripple down my team.
As a word of advice, just ignore heads
Down and focus on delivering, if it stressful get an another job and quit.
Quitting without an offer is not an intelligent move. You are the one suffering not your manager.
What’s your profile and connect with me, let’s find something for you.
Idk bro. I have had good managers before. I am seriously regretting quitting my last company. My manager there was a god.
I personally never had a good manager, most of the manager who behave good with me are manipulative in nature. And this made me a decent empathetic manager.
Understand the game and play along. Don’t become emotional in corporate, there is life post that..😁

Same here bro. Truly resonate. He is sometimes toxic, sometimes friendly till he gets his work done.
Done that in that past. Left Deloitte because of a toxic boss and without a job in hand. Took me a month to find at another consulting within a month and with 50%hike. if your skills are good and in demand, then you will find something good. Do not be afraid to ask relatives or friends for contacts. Never have I found a job without contacts and networking. Been working for 20 years and 5 jobs and contacts at each one helped me for the next.
