How long should the lunch break be?

I’ve never been able to determine what’s a good amount of break to take for lunch. 30 minutes feels too less 60 minutes feels too much

For me 5 - I start by 11 and end by 7 but take an hour lunch break, 4-5 tea/coffee breaks and some gossips - I tracked one day and it was 5.2 hrs. What about you?

People who are generally energetic, how do you do it?

I’ve lately been struggling with keeping my energy levels up through the day. My lifestyle isn’t that bad. Decent sleep, frequent exercise, I’m happy etc But I find myself zoning out of conversations and this is affecting my ability to be “liked” at the workplace. It’s not even about being liked, but as a person I don’t like not being able to 100% be there for people when they’re talking to me. It’s what makes us human, in a way. What is second half in your company

After lunch or before? P.S. we have 1 hr lunch break scheduled in work day. So I consider second half AFTER lunch. My boss wants second half before lunch, because who eats for 1hr 😶‍🌫️

Take a break or not ?

Is it advisable to take a break to switch jobs if you have a hard time preparing while having one ? How significant will be the impact on my profile. Financially I am well placed and can afford to take one. Details for context: YOE - 3 yrs Profile - Software Engineer (duh) Techstack - C#, .NET, SQL server, JS. Current Pay - ~20 LPA.

When working in a *Software Developer Position*, consider 8hrs to be the average hours you work at your company. ▶️how many hours do you actually get to slack off ? #-------Context------ At my current company i usually am occupied for more than 8 hours and i cannot do something like "reading a Blog to enhance my skillset, watch interview prep videos, learn something new or explore another zone of development like a new stack or something". After my working hours i give time to my pet dog, family and a little bit to myself. Is it the same for you or is my service based company sucking the blood out of me?
