What is that one habit that changed your life?

Going to the gym. Very underrated life lack, I’m less depressed that I was a couple of years back, reversed at least 3 years of age and helped me deal with chronic back pain by strengthening the lower back muscle. Only wish I knew this a decade back.

Saying YOLO or IT IS WHAT IT IS.
I was going to make bad decisions anyway, but at least this way I will have peace.
Understanding others perspective before jumping to any conclusion.
Underrated statement but simplifies most of the difficult situations.

Yeah, I can relate with this.
Increased breaks while working, but used Pomodoro technique while working. I’m more productive and relaxed!
Before I used to work from 10AM to 8PM with maybe 1 hour of break for lunch. I used to do a lot of context switching and didn’t have a system to work on things.
Switched this up before 6 months. Now I start at 10, take a break between 2-4PM, work till 6 and then work from 11-12 to prepare my task list.
I have a list of things in my backlog. I pick up only one or two things in a day. At 10AM, I break down all tasks and by 10:30 work begins. I set a timer for 25 minutes and then take a 5 minute break. At the end of 25 minutes, I take a break no matter what.
After 2 hours (4-splits of 25+5 mins), I take a 15 minute break. Works wonders.
Have rejected ad hoc calls, responding to “hi’s” and “urgent” matters are done only on a case by case basis.
This has improved output, peace of mind and I’m able to cut off and focus on non-work things too!

Gym. When I joined it, I had no interest in body building getting shredded. Joined only for improving mental health. Physique is just a side benefit

Stopped consuming any form of caffeine.
For me it was journaling
It just made me much more mindful every morning about what I did the day before, and what I plan to do on a given day
Also just regular checks on where my personal goals are headed. It's one of the best ways to reinforce mindfulness

Hitting the gym everyday
Working out daily really helps. It pulls you out of depression and helps you to maintain good physique.

Working out 5-6 days a week and having a passion ( running) out side.of work
I never felt like a loser while I am running those miles up this evening . And I am maintaining consistency now. I see it as a form of meditation. But running is great when you have a buddy which I don't have here cause I am out of my hometown 😔

Don't worry and just keep at it. Some of greatest local runners I see run alone. Also if you can participate in running events, those will give you push also an opportunity to meet other runners. If you can take goals for running events.
Gaming, lifting - are commonly spoken because going to the gym is more common.
Resistance training is the umbrella term for training your muscles against weight/resistance.
You many lift dumbells, or stones and rocks, or yourself (bodyweight training - pushups pull-ups and more)

Listening to audiobooks. Made my commute so much more worth it, and me a lot more aware about the world.

You can try audible. There are many audiobooks available on YouTube. You can try that before you take any subscription of any app.

Quitting Instagram for two weeks now because of all the information overload that is there not to mention the crap content. I can now direct my energy on things that actually matter, but I am getting a sense of FOMO and my urge to check what my ex is posting on the platform. I want this to go away but it’s getting harder.
