I am feeling burnt out

I am working atleast 12 hours daily for the past couple of months and now i feel this is taking a toll on my mental health. Increment was pathetic variable is slashed and I don’t see any light at the end of this tunnel. What should i do in such a situation.

Any suggestions please. The fact that things have gotten so bad that i am now contemplating a change in career. IT sector seems good from outside with all the money and stuff but from inside its a dark dark place.

I need some suggestions what should i do? Should i leave or continue to work hoping that things might get better after a certain point of time?

Oh okay, reason I asked sometimes in service project can be changed if it’s too much pressure. In this I would suggest it’s not all bad but you may have to play tactically on handling the hours you put in.

Taking breaks for a week or more might be good

And also communicate on your manager level if things are going out of hand as 12 hrs seems to be much

Can you share your company name? It has in general gotten dark recently. You can switch to some MNC like Globant for better wlb. Otherwise at least take a vacation

+1 on taking a vacation. If increment went bad, offset that with a week or two off by being open to your manager. Come back refreshed to decide what to do next. As my current manager who was laid off recently said on our last 1x1, don’t let it reach at that point where you have to take time off to recover from work. Work at your own pace and in the end leverage and switch are the only way to grow financially. But of you want to grow professionally staying put might be the best thing.
