I know but I don't. Am I that bad?

Hello everyone, Currently working as a single frontend developer in an startup. Joined just after graduation. I want to grow in carrier, and want to learn more about frontend. But I feel lost, not sure what all things I need to learn to become more good, SDE-2 level. Also I am looking for a switch. YOE - 2

I have 1.5 YoE as a frontend developer in an early stage startup. I need help with deciding where do I go from here? Do I deep dive into frontend? Do I try to move to full stack? Things to consider: - I am from a non CS background - frontend in India seems to be a bit saturated, especially for entry/mid level roles. I'd appreciate your advice, thanks :)

I work in a startup. We're currently on an ongoing pivot. I started working here as a founding engineer. I have worked here for around 2 years now. Majorly i worked on frontend part with react native (which is totally a new thing for me when i joined). During my tenure here there was no senior engineer who could review my work and give me the skills i required to build my career. Our founder was happy if the app was working fine. During the initial phase we needed to launch the app as soon as possible so i quickly learned the basic things i needed to make an app with react native. In this time all of these things (js and web world) are very new to me as i was coming from developing native android apps with java. Now im trying to switch so that i can work with a team of experienced engineers. While attempting interviews for frontend engineer, I found that whatever I've done in my current job was nothing more than a college project and I really didn't got to learn any industry level stuff. I'm feeling like im still a fresher out of college.  I tried working on my frontend skills but as we all know it's a very huge field. Html, css, js, frontend frameworks, hell lot of libraries. I'm feeling so overwhelmed. Whenever i attend a new interview i get to know new concepts which i never knew exist. Any suggestions for me guys?

I’m currently a Frontend Senior Software Engineer. Mainly my work resolves around optimising web performances. Lately, I’ve feeling very unmotivated as I feel like I’m wasting my potential in my current company even though the work here is not entirely bad. Need some advice on how to handle this scenario and if switching to a bigger better company would help. If so how do I prepare for FANG level frontend interviews?

I am a student doing my internship at a startup in Bangalore. I get paid very less. I want to join a product based company. I didn't do much of either competitive programming or DSA. Currently i am learning DSA and planning to start Competitive programming to crack product companies. But i am confused is this right or should I follow some other paths?? Can anyone help me with this🥲

I recently got placed in a good product based company and was assigned in Data Engineering team 1-2 weeks ago as an intern. I always wanted to be a Software Development Engineer and I really like to develop applications, websites etc and I also really enjoy it. I even purchased an expensive system design book to learn and implement how they build scalable apps etc because I find it very interesting. I never persued the data domain because I don't like stats and all the maths. Avoided AI/ML in college. Sure, I can work and learn about it in my free time, but I don't prefer it as a job right now. I couldn't develop my interest in data engineering after researching about it online for hours. Yes, the stack is cool and different, they build pipelines and all but it looks boring to me. I also read few comments saying that freshers are rarely hired for this role and one should work as an sde for few years before switching to this domain, and also they are paid ≤ SDEs depending on the company. What should I do now? Please guide me seniors🙏 Am I stuck in this forever or can I switch to SDE anytime I want? I am open to trying this role but then I am also scared that it'd may be too late or too hard to switch to SDE by then..? P.s. This is my first job, never worked in a company before so I don't know how things work.

I am a software engineer with 3 years of experience .For the first two initial years I was working as a QA in one of the good product companies with a very sorted work life balance . I had recently switched to a BE role in a startup I am very much lagging behind here because of my QA background ,the people here are very much talented and are great problem solvers .How do I reach that level ? I have been struggling to keep up with the pace here and finding it difficult to approach the tasks,even though i have been giving so much of time to work . And the TL in my team have a certain amount of expectations and hence they don't help according to that .(which i feel is fair) How should I approach this and level up here Anyone with a similar background and story please share your experience :) Any advice would really help

I got hired at a startup for Backend engineer Intern but I switched to DevOps as an Intern there Now I don’t find the profile that Interesting maybe because DevOps is paid less money to be honest I feel like I should switch back to backend but it’s now 1 year from there today I am a bit confused what should I do ? If anyone has faced similar thing can you please guide me !

my_qualification: B.Tech IT from tier-3 college. 70% I am 24 years old. I graduated in 2021 and had total 13 backlogs during UG and it took me 5 years to complete my degree. I am unemployed since my graduation and have been wasting my time on learning random things or multiple technologies at a same time. 2 months ago I decided to go to Canada for masters and my family supported me, my friend suggested me MS Data Science because he is Data Scientist in Canada. So, I gave IELTS in March and scored 7 band. Recently I had a talk with an Agency named Canam. And they suggested me to get Experience Letter + offer letter + LOR from employer + last 6 months payslip also Backlog Certificate from college but I don't have any of these things. What should I do in this situation? How should I move forward? How can I get my life on track? I'm just confused and not sure what should I do.
