I laughed so hard at the reply 😂
That's mainly because urdu is spoken for a long time in old hyderabad and many of them cannot even speak telugu.. it will be very different in Vijayawada or Vizag, where people rarely speak hindi!
Correct! BS X response to be honest. The reality is, due to historical and cultural reasons, any native Urdu / Hindi speaker would feel a lot more comfortable in Hyderabad than someone like my father, who can't speak a word in Hindi. And outside Hyderabad, people speak only Telugu.
Not really. I don’t think Telugu language feeling is there that much. I do agree that lot of folks might not know Hindi.
But I don’t think anyone ever objects other languages and try to impose Telugu only. Not that aware of Telangana culture though to comment

Hahaha 👌👌
You folk(Telugus) don't have this. You folk are omnipresent, and even America doesn't feel out of place for telugulites anymore, why lose a breath about it in India.
I mean you folk are much beyond language secure. That's a privilege. Why do we kannada folk fight? Primarily because kannada is dying in our crown jewel Bangalore. And none of you immigrants bother to do a thing about it, so here we are.
We each reap what we sow. We all (kannada folk) prioritised English & Hindi in our schools. Kids were fined 5-10 rs for speaking in kannada during my times, naturally atleast at that stage, kannada was made a bit secondary and created cause for belittling.
Now near our own home, when we go to eat etc, we are needing to fckin speak in Hindi. I mean I have great respect for Hindi, but in and around my native home I need my native ambience dammit.
Anyway, you hope you folk understand this trouble and prop up kannada, else fight will only get much more intense. We won't let our language die, mark my words. 🙏
Not a north indian but a south indian who wants to learn kannada. When I go ask my colleagues to teach me kannada, they ignore n move on. Dunno how to start it.
Whats weird is Telugu folks gravitate towards each other in a different. I haven’t witnessed a Telugu person seek out another one, but they always end up grouping up together
