MBA from top tier will give you a very strong network of folks for life. Also will allow you to explore areas unexplored (which might strike a chord). If network is something u already have and u plan to eventually build in India - i say start building in India now itself and drop Mba Plans.

but when you drop MBA plans - going up the ladder in a corporate setup becomes very difficult, right? Especially at bigger companies like FAANG or other Fortune 50 of sorts. What do you think?

Depends some companies have management with a rod up their bums and they value pedigree very highly and in those cases a top tier mba helps but you can also rise in ranks by being a star performer. Obviously being both helps
