Is it okay to ask for referrals on a weekend ?

Hello! I am looking for a referral in Barclays/ Tietoevry, Mastercard or Amdocs. I have the job code for the openings. Though I have applied for it, I feel a referral might accelerate and help the application better. Not looking to shop around, just want a job with good life work life balance and decent pay. I am local to Pune and can join in a months time (can negotiate it to 2 weeks) Would appreciate the help :) Thanks in advance! P.s Open to any other place with hybrid model with good WLB and has cab facility if location is far/ in outskirts

It has been 25 days since I got laid off from the startup that I was working for. I have given a few interviews. Got rejected in 1st or 2nd rounds in a few, went till the last round n rejected in a couple and haven't heard back from the HR in a few. Not hearing back, unanswered calls, delays in rounds etc. cause a lot of anxiety and impacts my confidence and preparation levels. How do I tackle it? Also, unable to find fresh openings in product/ strategy roles for past few days. This also adds to pressure and uncertainty. In short, it is a very troubling phase. How do I deal with it? Need enormous help from all of you folks. Would love to hear some great thoughts / insights / hacks too.

Recruiters and hiring managers, What's the time window after which you typically stop going through new resumes for a job posting? Trying to understand if applying on a 6 day or two week old job posting makes sense or not.

You've planned your weekend on Friday, just before closing the system, but then suddenly, a client calls you or a manager comes up with an urgent work request, asking you to complete it. You also realize that the task is critical, and you may have to work on the weekends. Has this happened to anyone? If so, how do you deal with it?

Friends and people you know are definitely there. You can't be referring everyone as it decreases your credibility if they are not suitable for the role or don't get hired. Also, how do you say no to such requests? Thank you!

I arranged employee referrals from Microsoft , Visa , Arcesium , Walmart but no response came not even rejection its almost 1 month. Is there any other trend prevailing in market? Or more precisely Am I approaching in the wrong way?

So, I've recently joined a company and I've been getting a lot of requests for referrals from folks on LinkedIn whom I don't know personally. I feel for these folks because I was in a similar situation a few months ago, trying very hard to switch. But, I'm sort of confused as to - should we refer someone whom we have never met personally? Does the concept of "referral" allow that? What do you guys think?

I am seeing LinkedIn posts everyday about how people are starting a new position in a different organisation. I've tried LinkedIn job posts, asking for referrals, trying less popular job portals, applying directly in career pages of companies, and changing my resume multiple times. But no luck. Even if the resume gets shortlisted now, there's no further action. I can see multiple people giving seminars on how to switch jobs but everyone has the same things to say. Any suggestions?

A friend has a kickass resume (according to me) for a very niche business role that just opened up at Google. But he has no experience in applying for big companies. We’ve been reviewing his resume together and honestly, all the feedback I have is from what I have read online. He seems to be sure that he’ll be able to nail the interviews but that’s honestly not a problem for later imo. He has a referral and wants to make sure he gives his best shot. For those who got interview calls or work there right now, what do you think worked for you?
