Is my situation worse?

Hi my buddies. I am facing a big problem with my company work from office rules. My wife is a government teacher in village which is in Bihar. And as a IT professional i am working in Banglore where the company is a service based company which is paying me 13.08 LPA . But made compulsory to come to office 2 days a week. For that only I am loving here not able to concentrate on my job and the family. Just 4 months back I got married. Could you please help me to guide with any solution for this🙏

I travel for 2:30 hours from home to ofc and again 2:30 hours back home, so 5 hours travel and only visit ofc for attendance purpose so I sit in ofc only for two hours. Is it really worth visiting ofc ?

How's the current job market like according to you guys? More specifically in Bangalore. I recently got an offer from an upcoming digital commerce player. They're giving a 35% pay hike and the role is decent. I don't love it , I don't hate it either. My only issue is it's based out of Delhi, a city I'm not a big fan of. To give more context I've been born and raised in Delhi but I've been living away from home for 8 years now. It's a city thats familiar but comes with its down baggage. I find the people too aggressive and don't have much of a circle left there. Got laid off from the Bangalore startup I was working at some 3 months back. I have a decent runway but frankly it's not making too much sense to keep paying rent in Bangalore anymore. I keep oscillating between taking this offer and letting it go. Thoughts?

Hello, My company has started Hybrid working model, I’m currently stay with my mom in my home town (7 to 8 hours from Bangalore by road). Couple of my team mates are going to office, most of the colleagues are not. Do you think I should move to BLR, considering like 2 weeks in Bangalore and 2 weeks in hometown. Found a place in BLR which is like 18k per month.

I'm a resident of Rajasthan by birth. In july this year, I've joined a startup as SWE Intern at Bengaluru. Being from a college even below than tier-3 ones & still getting an offcampus internship+PPO(13LPA, 7 BASE) was really a good thing for me. The internship duration is 12 months & after that there will be a performance review & then it'll be decided whether I'll be converted to a FTE or not. But tbh I'm not liking bengaluru at all, language barrier, totally different food is making it tough to survive for long here. I'm sure that at least for 3 months I'm gonna do this internship for experience purpose & after that I'm thinking to apply in other companies in the northern side of india so that I can be close to my hometown also & there will be no language barrier & food issues. What would you have done if you were in my place?

Recently my friends moved to 4 BHK apartment near Domlur. The total rent is coming to 1 Lakh for unfurnished apartment, it has some really good amenities. All 3 of them have offices nearby, and I work remotely for a US startup. After, furnishing and one time setup, just rent is coming to 32k. I am unsure, whether moving there would be worth it or not for me. I really enjoy company of my friends, but the rent for me is expensive + 6 months deposit. I can definitely afford to pay that much rent, but not sure whether it’ll be good decision or not because of market conditions and tons of uncertainties. I cannot back out if I say yes. I am super confused, one side I want to stay with friends and on other side rent and deposit is worrying me. Would love to hear thoughts of you all. 🙏

I am joining a new company which is remote first. Does it makes sense to be in banglore? Given that if i move to my home town, I will save 95% of my income. I am confused because I also like banglore and dont like the idea of living with my parents. But if i stay at home for 2 3 years, I would be able to buy a property in banglore when i move back in future.

I have been working in this startup for around 1.5 years now, and soon I am going to be the only developer here, as the other 2 devs are going to leave soon. The company is now calling me to Bangalore. I am thinking as there will be no devs my growth will be very less, as this is my first organisation after graduation. But looking at the market situation it feels like I should just continue with the current org. I am not sure what to do. YoE; 1.5 year CTC: 9 LPA Saving: 1LPA

Came to Bangalore to join an in-office role, the org and role is good. But coming from Gurgaon, I was not able to like the city. Some cons: - Extremely poor infrastructure like a tier 2 city - Every govt official is corrupt, police can harass you anywhere - You neither feel homely nor is there any vibe of a cosmopolitan city. Local politics will not let this city become a cosmopolitan startup hub. Gurgaon is so so much better. - Everyone just wants to loot money, everything is expensive. Rent is high, landlord deducting 1 month extra rent, unnecessarily high security amount, cook and maid everything is so effin’ expensive - Alcohol is expensive. - Good food is expensive The value of money is lesser here as compared to the rest of the country. I have a flight tonight and I am so happy that it’s a one way flight. I don’t mean to offend anyone, but bangalore can be very lonely and it has been so for many of my friends. Particularly ease of life is much higher in NCR and that’s why a lot of people move back. Those who feel otherwise haven’t lived in NCR so Bangalore is more of just a bubble for them. Adios!

So I recently joined a early stage startup as a founders office product intern, Basic Insights My age - 25 Industry - XR Stipend - 20k Travel time - 2 hours up and down Location - Banglore I rqstd founder for hybrid work as I don't see my real-time need in the office, Founder is quite rigid on the office point and wants me to be present in office no matter what and also on some other things. I kind of see it as a red flag, what's would you suggest can this turn to a full time offering or just a internship and then ask me to leave the org. Note - not comprising on my work by any means.
