can you please tell a little on what do you mean by 'time management enabled task manager', I mean what features it should have?

I have a list of todos. I have 8 working hours in a day. The tool should enable me to map the tasks against those 8 hours. Imagine a Google Calendar where for each task, you block a meeting slot.

Can you please suggest some projects ideas which can help me get a dev job at a startup. 
Currently the work I get at my current job doesn't involve coding (its mostly setup and bug fix involving very minimal coding). 
I think I need to showcase my coding skills with some projects, but can't think of what to make. 
I have been advised that common apps like e-commerce, blog etc. are ignored. (correct me if that's incorrect). 

So, looking for some ideas with some details for projects.

I'm a 2nd year student. Teaching myself native iOS app development + algorithmic problem solving + core CS subjects. Now I have exactly 6 months left before the summer internship cycle starts. Turns out there aren't many iOS focused internships out there and I would very much like to future proof my intern prospects. 
What do you ,experienced folks, suggest I learn so that I can not only make decent projects but also contribute and learn while interning. 
Right now I'm inclined towards learning 
Backend development in Java+Spring Boot.
If you have any other suggestions, kindly send them my way. 
Also to the folks who work with Java/Spring Boot, what level of complexity of projects would be the bare minimum to leave a good impression?

Career path of a Java Springboot developer

Senior Associate

For the past 1.5 yrs, I have been working for a legacy product and hence didn't learn any new technologies. This job was right out of college and hence I didn't pick this. Entire takeaway from 1.5 yrs was 
1.  Simple Java(version 8) code (no frameworks)
2. SVN for version control
3. Dealt with millions of lines of code and hundreds of services in one single file. 

No new technologies, no cloud, no databases. 

But I am very confident and fluent in Data Structures and Algorithms ( Masters in Theory CS from top IIT). What shall I learn next to keep up with the IT industry? I don't have any particular interest towards say DevOps, BigData. I just like to solve problems.  Please advice.

Hi, I have been working in Infosys for past 3.5yrs. my starting salary wad 5lpa and now it's 8lpa. I feel I should be compensated more based on work that I put into my projects for which the most feasible option would be to switch. Hence, I need some advice related to job-switching from fellow software engineers who have already been able to do that. 
My skills are Java-spring boot , react , sql, github copilot, kubernetes, What other skills do I need to know to be able switch comfortably? Kindly suggest some websites where I should be applying from. In the coming days maybe after March would be good time to apply, don't you think?

I have completed my B. Tech few days ago. Working in a small startup for 3lpa and I am not getting any projects to work. Initially I was trained to work in spring boot . Now they are told to learn devops and so I learnt them and now I'm not have any work related to cloud also.Sitting simply throughout the day. I have joined the company as intern in july 2023. Basically the title. I am currently looking to build a good skillset and an attractive profile to land a job. I wanted to ask what sort of projects are usually expected from a person with 1 YOE (2022 grad)?

Moreover, what kinda projects would blow your mind?

I have a fair bit of proficiency in React and I primarily work with Java + OracleDB for backend. I have started learning Go out of curiosity as well.

Although welcome, I am not looking for specific ideas. I want to know how complex or ambitious should a project be to be considered at par if not impressive for my experience.

Projects to showcase on a 1 YOE Full Stack Developer resume?

I'm trying to get back at coding and is unable to decide between the following:

- Backend (Springboot - have tried a basic application to build crud APIs)
- Android Dev (native, have built few very basic apps using Java and published them)
- Web Full stack (have some experience with ERN as of now)


I'm unable to choose which one to focus on and not being able to take a decision is just resulting in procrastination. I know it would be better to just jump into something and go with the flow, but I'm unable to. 

Please help me out folks! 

I'm currently in a non coding role because of choice, but have always loved development and used to do it until I started working full-time (still tried a few things on the side). 

Haven't really figured out what's next, but if it works out, I would switch to an engineering role (either internally or to a new company)

Hi guys, I am currently working in a SAAS startup as a backend Engineer. Tech stack: MERN, AWS, little bit of GenAI now.

I know most big companies use Java springboot for their backend, so I'm thinking to learn it is I want to switch later. Or should I go for golang as it's becoming very hot in recent times. Or should I continue with NodeJS? Let me know your suggestion.
