Hi folks, I am new here so need your suggestions. I work as a research associate at a market research firm. It's wfh so I have been managing my expenses pretty well. However the work culture is horrible. We all are expected to work for 9hrs minimum everyday. And by work means, creating docs with minimal calling. The work everyday has unrealistic deadlines. I am an MBA in marketing and Hr (dual spec.). Can you suggest what I should do?

I have been stuck in a bad project for an year now. Manager recently said that they would pull me in to another project with better tech which would take I think a 3-4 weeks to start and has told that I would be working on shared capacity between my old and new project till the old one completes which may take 3 months at least.
I could secure another offer when I was earlier stuck with my old project but the offer isn’t lucrative in terms of money and close to no difference with my current package but the work and tech is good and offers wfh option as well. Any advice?

Need help in job switch

Hi everyone, I'm looking to switch jobs for a better pay as my current CTC is 4.06 LPA which doesn't suffice me at all. Also,  I have got many calls for interviews but out of them only 6 interviews got arranged and in those interviews as well I am unable to ace them at all. I'm trying to apply for a Java Full Stack developer. I need suggestions as to where I should concentrate and how I should prepare myself. In the last few interviews that I gave, the interviewers asked questions about creating small programs and they didn't ask anything about my current and previous projects that I worked on. I need some suggestions as to what I can do here in this case. Also, how much salary can I expect for a switch if I have to answer for an expected salary.

I am aged 30 ,UM ,Male , have been working in IT for close to 9 years now . But I never had an option to quit this job  due to my family financial situations. Now I saved enough money for my parents. I want to switch my career to Semiconductors technology (Chip designing, Physical design etc ). I don’t have any prior experience or not even workshops experience in that field but I always wanted to be. It might sound like foolish thought, but I feel like hell here doing this job without any interest (but I always received outstanding feedback from my leadership as well as clients). If I continue here , my next designation would be Manager.

Long story but here are my questions …

1. Should I continue in IT or switch my career ? 
2. I won’t get same package as that I m getting ryt now But Does organisations accept my reason and provide an opportunity aa fresher ? 
3. As I m unmarried and don’t have anyone other than my parents as my dependents and habituated to a peaceful for quite some time, Is it a good decision to pursue my career now , knowing the fact that I might struggle with financial needs.? 

Your genuine answer could help people like me who are trapped in this kind of dilemma.. TIA

New Job vs. New Career: How to Decide ?
I am currently working at Accenture and planning to switch companies. However, given the current market conditions, I'm worried about whether I can secure a new job. I have two options:

1. Get a job offer by next month using my SQL or Oracle skills. My notice period will then end in August or September. However, I need time off in December for my wedding. Will the new company allow me to take leave just 2-3 months after joining?

2. Study for a career in Data Engineering, switch careers, and get a job offer in November or December. I would then get married during my notice period.

My offer in a leading MNC got revoked last Friday. I had another startup offer but said no since they were offering less CTC. I’ve been applying to jobs since Monday and also working out some referrals. The current market scenario is really scary!! Even after cracking interviews they ain’t rolling out offers.

It’s demeaning to witness that even after having the required skills I am not landing a good offer. Mentally feeling very down and weak. Can anyone help me out for further up-skilling and if you’re kind enough to offer me a referral. I shall be really grateful!
