Switching Jobs Before Your Wedding: Is It the Right Move?
New Job vs. New Career: How to Decide ? I am currently working at Accenture and planning to switch companies. However, given the current market conditions, I'm worried about whether I can secure a new job. I have two options: 1. Get a job offer by next month using my SQL or Oracle skills. My notice period will then end in August or September. However, I need time off in December for my wedding. Will the new company allow me to take leave just 2-3 months after joining? 2. Study for a career in Data Engineering, switch careers, and get a job offer in November or December. I would then get married during my notice period. What should I do?
Bro or bahen , shadi ke baad ice cream ka flavour bhi partner chose karega .
Do now , means now
If you are planning to get married, then your job switch should happen before 6 months to 1 yaer of Marriage atleast
It was very horrible, you could not focus on the new job that is the ultimate need(focus) and cannot enjoy the wedding moments also... Think wise... Take informed decision

Ohh.. š¦ .. Actually its Love Marriage with 10 year of Relationshipā¦. Waise bat to sahi haiā¦ Financially lagane wali hai meriā¦ thats why I want Switch
Bro I had 14 years of relationship and got married. Chutiya kat gyi .... After marriage nobody will be the same.. financially, mentally and physically sbke L lgenge
Try switching after your wedding. Maybe lady luck will shine for you. Dont take it too seriously. Wedding is one time. Enjoy. Interviews and jobs to aate rahege.
Brother, we are in the corporate world and no one wants to give leave whether you are working for 2 years or 2 months.
i was in same situation also , then just after my wedding in December i started given interviews and got offer letter in February.
I took leave without pay at my new org for about 10 working days within 40 days of joining.
I had clearly stated my situation before joining that I would be needing leaves for marriage and they were ok with it.
Even during my notice period, while giving interviews, I stated upfront my requirement for leaves within about a month of joining due to my planned marriage and almost all of them were ok with it
I am also on the same thought bro.
1)
I too have only Oracle and SQL skills but its really difficult in getting jobs with that skill alone. They are asking cloud as mandatory now with automation tools, migration tools etc. I tried to apply to many mncs and service based company with only referrals but no one called back. So there huge competition with just Database related skill. I would say anyway try to find jobs outside too with some growing, variety of skills(Cloud,Devops,AI)
2.
I thought of same to learn snowflake or Databricks in data engineering. But even if we get certifications, it needs hands on experience to get some use cases of the tools. You can focus on one tool and learn try to get certificate for the same. Then in parallel can try outside.
Yes.. Sameā¦
Few days back I completed Databrick certificationā¦ but I want to Learn more for Data engineeringā¦. My traget is Big tech companies like Amazon
Option 2 bro. I am sure if the new employer still didn't pressurize you for anything, you yourself will start overthinking as it will be new job. Give some time to your self. Get married , prepare well . Then switch
if you want to enjoy your wedding my recommendation would be change job after your marriageā¦ as in current organisation you have vintage and ppl knows you ā¦ and you must have leaves too .. that you can utilise in your marriage.. no new employer will allow you to take such a long leave in probabtion period only
