So hello Everyone , 
A short intro , i am a 2023 grad , fumbled a 32 lpa SDE job in last round in college placement . I was among the last 2 out of 500 students and the other guy got selected or you can say i run out of luck.🙂
This left a scar ,guilt and trauma, however got placed as a cloud engineer during last week of my college.

I always wanted to do development and create stuffs . 
My current role is more of a support so now I want to switch .
Yoe :1 year 2 months 
Salary:9 lpa (7.5 base)
Fully remote 

i had solved around 220+ questions on leetcode and had a good grip on DSA but it’s been a year since i solved any questions there.
So now i will again start coding and solving leetcode from STRIVER A to Z dsa course and working on harkirat 0-100 development projects.


I aim to make myself interview ready at the end of week 5 while keeping my current job and then look for interviews during my notice period.
I am ready to take a leap of faith and grind hard .

I will keep updating on every Sunday about number of questions and development projects i worked on .
Hope it motivates you all to improve and get better at life .

I am going to use this  sub to record my weekly improvements .
 
I am open to any suggestions by my people here .

Hey guys, just need your advice I have been 5 years of experience at startups and have open source contributions too and now I want to switch to some good product based companies including FAANG with some good WLB.

I am well versed with topics but I am not very sincere with doing DSA and leetcode regularly. I haven’t practiced daily and now I am looking to do it, but I lack motivation and get frustrated easily.

I am thinking to do a DSA course on weekends, will that be good? Any advice is recommended.

I am work in tcs for the past 10 months, so frustrated with mundanity of the work, that I want to switch but I am not able to focus and be consistent enough to finish DSA and etc.
Right now I am in Noida and living in a pg, literally on days I have no connection to others because of lack of odc.

Switched to a series a startup at 16.35l base all fixed ,it's been 3 months now and the wlb is very agreesive although the learnings is good and I am working on core genai,llms,classical models,but want to switch to a chill minc with a. Decent 30 percent hike
Is it fine? Will it look good on resume?

Tldr: title
Living with my parents has allowed me to save a decent amount and invest while enjoying time with friends. My job is fun; I work with a tech stack I love (Golang) and learn new things regularly since it's a scratch project. My manager is great, an expert in SQL, and doesn't scrutinize my code much. My salary is around 9.5 LPA, and I have close to two years of experience. 

Being part of the tech community, I strive for a better salary. However, my efforts to switch jobs have been inconsistent. I dedicated two weeks to practicing DSA and applying for jobs but received no callbacks, which was tough to swallow. My goal is to achieve a salary around 14 LPA in my next jump, but sometimes I wonder if I'm being delusional.

I know there are amazing folks who get 20 or 30 LPA straight out of college, and I wish them the best. Comparing myself to them hasn't been effective. Even trying to dislike my company, thinking about how I barely make $10,000 while the company profits millions, hasn't motivated me.

what might be your strategy you if you were in a similar situation?

I'm a 2021 graduate. I left my first job at a small startup in Bangalore in January because they refused to pay my salary and my hike for 3 months (promotion was done but just on paper, they were paying the old salary). 

I'm not good at DSA at all even though I handled multiple projects related to security and development tools using Go and have a good understanding about the language. But I'm not good at DSA at all, I don't have a leetcode account or solved any DSA problems yet. 

If I want to get a job I have to start DSA from scratch which will take a minimum of 4-6 months. Which makes me unemployed for 1 year. 

I'm scared whether this is a red flag in the recruiters point of view. And create a situation where recruiters intentionally try to hire me for less salary.

What should I do? Should I leave my current domain and switch to other technical jobs that may not require DSA during interviews or spend time to learn enough DSA to clear interviews? 

If there's any way to get some guidance from senior engineers or people who had similar issues like this in the past, please let me know.
