Laid off
Just got laid off. Worried about my kid since he is just 1 year old. I was a stay at home father and was looking after the kid as well. (He has a nanny but still you need to give care to the kid). I don't know how I will get a remote/hybrid job. I'm into business and not engineering/software so this makes it harder.

Don’t worry, people are here to help. Please let us know what are you looking for ? :)

Thanks @TheOatmeal for kind words. I've 7 YoE in business strategy and driving growth. Led 20+ members team and have worked on complex problems to solve. I'm looking for the role where I can utilize this experience.

Is business development manager is something for you?

While the current market scenario is not highly optimistic, with 7+ YoE you must have worked with tonnes of people.
Reach out to them (there's no shame in asking for help)
An approach you can follow is:
Create a short note on what you have done and how you will add value to the next organisation (the second part should be customisable)
Create a database of organisation/roles you want to apply to
When you see an opportunity, reach out to the recruiter via LinkedIn/email.
Mention the note (after first 5 mails/DMs it would be a simple copy paste thing), attach your resume and keep pinging them every 2/3 days.
Best of luck.

Thanks a lot @SS_Croaker for your advice. Yes, I have started reaching out to folks who I was closely working with.
Currently, working on CV and the customized note. Should be ready by EOD and then will start a full-fledged reach out on LinkedIn(to recruiters and leadership roles) and WhatsApp (to the people I know).
The problem is that there might be very less Remote/Hybrid roles available in the market.

There are websites which provide links to remote roles, but yeah they are mostly for tech people :(
Do let me know if you need assistance in refining the resume

Time to tap into your network. Time to take a step back and look at the bigger picture. Time to relax.
You will be alright. Anyone who has good skills &experience will be alright.

All the best brother. Everything will be alright ❤️🙏
