I feel data science and analytics has glass ceiling in tech , maximum people can go is head of data and analytics and salary is max 1.5 cr for Indian startup and people will be laid with more experience for analytics .  I feel to have stable career in tech cto and engineering has better long term career as salary can be as high as 2.5 to 3 cr , more job opportunities and more market demand . Data science and analytics is a dead career even world is jumping for llm.

I would like to know the future prospects in the data field. I like to do coding or be on technical side.

Or do I try to shift in SDE role ASAP.

As a Senior Consultant with 5 years of experience in Data Science and Analytics, I'm on the lookout for a role that truly values my expertise. 
My current position feels limiting in terms of compensation and growth, especially with international client exposure. I'm eager to explore opportunities offering minimum 18-20 LPA, preferably with projects that engage with international clients.

I have total of 3.6 years of experience all as Data Engineer. 2.3 working at Sigmoid and 1.3 with Flipkart. I got promoted at both the organisation, means I am a high performing talent. I am getting 50L as a CTC from Flipkart, 21.5 is fixed, 2.15 is annual bonus and rest other are ESOP spreaded over 4 years. Flipkart is currently operating in hybrid model which means I had to shift to Bangalore this December.

In my new role at a startup which is acquired by Course Hero is offering 70l;
32l as fixed, 3.2l as annual bonus and rest other as RSUs spreaded over 4 years. It is work from anywhere.

Looking at the current market trend and my previous history, should I be little more greedy.

I am getting 70lac as CTC in my new role

If I am proficient in Python, R, SQL, Postgresql, Numpy,Pandas, Matplotlib, PowerBI, Seaborn, Azure, Hadoop - 
and have 4 good projects, 1 on data analysis and 2 on machine learning -
with an ongoing research paper with my faculty,
does it still mean I won't bag a job that's more than 12lpa+ ?
