Looking for very senior IC role

Hi, I'm a Senior Site Reliability Engineer and a tech geek - looking for a career switch. Currently located in NCR region - working for one of the top Indian Unicorns, making 1.2Cr+ every year in salary+stocks. Leaning more towards getting a remote job and get decent WLB. Please let me know if there are really good teams doing ground breaking work OR solving for one of a kind scale challenge at their company in SRE Domain - I'd like to join. PS: Is there a community within grapevine where SREs hang out? I happen to see very less SRE specific posts in general. Ex: I'd want to know how's SRE at say - Disney, Akamai, CRED, PhonePe, Swiggy, Zomato, Google, Rippling, etc - but couldn't find any good hits.

I'm currently working as a Frontend Engineer at leading FinTech in India. I'm doing great in my current role(IMO). I also contribute to open source libraries on weekends. Maybe it is FOMO or my learning curve being relatively flat, recently I'm feeling I don't want to type cast myself as a frontend engineer and explore backend as well. I might get promoted to senior role this appraisal cycle. My current org (specifically my managers) don't want me to contribute in backend services as there are already plenty devs in backend. How to go about this? I can't switch since, no company would hire a folk as a senior backend developer with 0 backend experience.

I am SDE backend with 6 yoe (Java, spring boot, python, flask) currently working with org in Pune with annual package of 32 LPA I want to switch to higher package but couldn't find many options in Pune or remote India already applied to many companies on linkdin but no luck from past few months also work in current org isn't much exciting. I see many threads about jobs here but mostly are in Bangalore and Hyderabad not sure I am the only one or anybody else feeling this issue.
