Low CTC for HR Professionals
Why are HR professionals paid so low? With around 1.8 years of experience in HR and a current CTC of 4 LPA, I'm surprised that the companies I'm applying to are not offering even a 10% hike. Why are HR salaries so low? The majority of companies I'm applying for are having a budget 25-30K per month. I'm based out of Delhi NCR. What can I do to increase my CTC?
Sorry for going off the topic but it’s going to relate at some point: HR reflects a company culture, most of the HRs in my 8 years of experience (from Investment Banks to Fintech) show their performance while speaking with candidates and make them feel that they chose your company at the right time. Some HRs do data entry jobs - setting up the interview and max sending the resume to hiring manager, here they think work is over cause they don’t know further process (candidates suppress their feelings and take a follow up). Later they get bad feedback.
If you want to become the first, show that and get the goddamn hike.

HR professionals from top tier colleges are paid well. Youll see a fresher from XL/TISS at upwards of 20 L ctc.
