My manager told me that I can't run away from this and I should learn and do specialization in AI because it is the talk of the town.

Guide me on how should I start and a complete plan to learn. I feel I have potential to learn and grow.

How to start career in AI?

2022 graduate here, working as a software engineer.
I feel that software engineering has less to do big in future compared to Ai/ML. Need your thoughts on what are my possibilities and pros cons on choosing different paths.

1. Stick to software engineer, will get promoted in some time and i can utilise some skills developed during this year and past internship. 

For next two paths, i will need to study as I don't know much about Ai/ML. Please suggest resources and way if you thing these could be good.

2. Switch teams in Google to some Ai/ML team.

3. Switch firm to some startup on Ai and can learn more things there. If this, then are companies out there how can will consider my this experience, i would want more pay than what i am earning as of now.

Can Ai take product jobs? Been planning to switch to either PRODUCT or DATA SCIENCE roles in 5/6 months, but kinda skeptical as what path I should go ahead with. Also with the AI advancing everyday and some tech bros taking about AI taking jobs makes me wanna wonder about the path I should go ahead with.Any recommendations will help, thanks. Currently am a java developer with 1.4 YOE and kinda find it boring (maybe its the project)

AI COMING FOR PRODUCT JOBS?

I am a software engineer with 11 months of experience. I have no interest in testing field and wanted to work in development roles from the start but my org forced me to work as an integration tester. Now I am planning to upskill and jump.
I have great interest in cloud field and believe that it is an emerging field, but I am told that AI/Gen AI is also very good field to go in.
Although l don't have any particular interest in AI and always thought that it is not easy to get good paying AI related jobs for beginners like me, I am ready to pursue, if told otherwise.
Please give me some advice/guidance as to which field I should choose as a fresher that has good learning and future scope and pays good.

Hi folks, need some advice.I am currently working as an AI Engineer in a seed start up with low pay with  wfh opportunity, completed 3months, Gained some expertise with projects related to AI, Do I need to switch the company for putting this as exp in my resume or stay in that company for 1 or 2 years.

A lot of noise around AI taking coding jobs, which i fear might be real. Like not completely but you get my point. So how should one upskill themselves (especially the average folks, top 1/2% will not be affected in any field imo) for the upcoming shift? Hey I was wondering if anyone can help me know what skills do I need to learn if I need to make my career in Machine Learning. I'll tell you my current situation. I know the theory part of ML. I have written a research paper on Semi Supervised Learning with a professor in my college.(I am writing another one). So academically my professor is urging me to continue doing research somewhere for another 3 years of my bachelor's degree and then apply to any company after my PhD. but I don't think I want to. So I am seeing this AI developer roles on LinkedIn but they are looking for developers with a basic knowledge of ML and AI. Where should I apply and for what roles?

I'm currently a Data Analyst with 6 months of experience. I would like to get into AI/ML and Robotics field.

Planning to transition from my current role next year. I'm not sure whether I should become a Software engineer (preferably Backend) or ML Engineer or some Data Science role.

I'm currently in Bangalore. Open to relocating to any state (or even country).

In the longterm, I want to do something that has both software and hardware in it.

Please explain your advice if you can afford some time.

AI tasks that can now be accomplished with ease, thanks to the availability of foundation models and APIs. It also touches on the challenges in evaluating, applying, and productizing AI.

AI Engineer is the new role to get. The title is on the rise. I have been interviewing and a lot of companies seem to hire AI Engineers compared to ML Engineers now. 

OpenAI has changed the game since models and APIs has significantly reduced the time and resources required to accomplish AI tasks, making it easier for AIx to work with these technologies. This is the greatest thing ever in the history of mankind. 

We had room sized computers in 1960s that could only compute simple calculations. Now you have a more powerful computer in your microwave.

Now imagine, the day you can run GPT4 on your smartphone. The compute will get their with miniaturization of compute or offloading to cloud. 5 years back, I was fortunate enough to get into IISc to study computer science. I also had a choice to study at a prestigious business school in India. I decided to go to IISc as I wanted to work in tech post my masters degree. Back then I thought, if I still wanted to go to business school, I would take it up around 5-6 years post masters. 
Now, it seems like AI is taking over all fields especially non-tech strategy type roles where human input can be replaced with effective code+AI in cost effective ways. Functional managerial roles are being filled with experienced engineers who have a great depth of experience building products for their companies. Where will the MBAs fit in? 
With AI advancing at a break neck speed many more roles will be replaced with AI. Also, the MBA curriculum seems a bit stale given the speed our world is advancing. Need some advice.
