Meesho Layoff again?

Meesho will be firing 251 employees this week. I have many batchmates in this org and have heard nothing but good about this company. Sad to see this economy claiming another victim in the form of Meesho.

There was some call around 9 AM today, some folks are laid off. Didn't know the % yet.

In brief- Very ambiguously choosen. Multiple reasons at play so far it looks - primarily cost, other one is trying to flatten the hierarchy quite implicit, cutting roles of pure people management & no ground impact at all, etc AMA

I know this might be a one off, but even if they are close to profitable/break even quarters, this can become a strong business
